short trim and long trim?

whats up guys.
I have a pocket logger for my 2g talon and I use the Palm n stein program to log. My question is what is the Long trim and Short trim on the logger. I ususally tune to O2 and timing and I was wondering if you can tune to the short or long trim? I hear of people tuning to their fuel trims but is this the same thing?

You want your fuel trims to be a close to 0 as possible or have them add up to zero.

To do this make adjustments to the low settings on your S-AFC
