I was just wondering if I can dissconect the bat, and not loose my fuel settings? Or will that mess up my tuning.

I don't believe so. I unplug my battery all the time to work on the car, and I haven't had any tuning issues. 
All it does, is reset your ecu. Basically the fuel trims.

It resets the ecu and can be a good thing.Your maft keeps its settings not to worry there.Although might lose the fine settings not sure if they rely on battery power.You could ask on full throttle forum the guys that make the maft.full throttle speed and style.

Which MAFT version?
With the new 2.blah it "might" erase the fine tuned settings but I doubt it.
