which is the most recent palm pilot i can use with the data login on a dsm? i want to get the most recent one, i know i can use the older model but i just want the most recent one. why order a old one when i can have a new one is what i say...

And you said "why order an old one when you can have a new one." Well, think of it this way. The money you save using an older one you can put towards other mods. It makes NO sense to get a new one if you are only going to use it for logging.

I picked up a used Palm IIIc for cheap on ebay. I believe the software only works on certain versions of the Palm OS. The pocketlogger software & cables end up costing you more than the palm pilot.

It should work with all PDA's running palmOS 3.0 or newer.

Why buy a new one when you can use an old one?
They are both going to be using the same program.
I guess if you have money to burn, go ahead.
All you need is a M105 off of ebay along with the logger cable off of ebay and the free software MMCD. Do yourself a favor and get the old school 105 and buy a something else for your car with the extra money you will save.

i got me a reburbished one on FRY'S electronic for 49.99 with a 20 bucks rebate. i have the MMCD program but it wontwork. the only thing i could think of is that its a pocketlogger.com cable so i need the OBD1 program. i know for a fact that my friends pocketlogger works on my car and he has the obd1 program. so if anyone could help me out and send it to me that will be great.

I got a Palm M105 for $20 off ebay, with a BUNCH of extra stuff along with it, the guy got it as a gift, but never used it :laugh: There are alot of useful programs you can get for the Palm that will help you keep track of your purchases and service on it, very handy and very cheap...Don't waste your money on something that will do the job just as good as something WAAY cheaper...

nay. mine is a palm IIIxe. its not the newest thing out there. i think it was the cheapest one at fry's. and no i dont like to spend alot of money, only if the thing is worth it. we all own dsm's and we need that extra cash just in case.
