my power cuts out at 6000 rpms running 16 psi....i dont know how to work this damn S-afc, i would appreciate it if someone could sorta walk me though working this... i have 550cc injectors also, i can list everything but that would take too long. BUT the power doesnt cut in 3rd or 4th gear...just 1st and 2nd. please give me any suggestions on how to fix this. :mad:
 
If im not mistaken i beleive the power cuts off when the car is TOOOOO rich, like way rich. you sure everything is turned right and the Fuel pressure is set good. might be too much pressure and too rich

but what do i know :p
 
i honestly dont know how to work the S-AFC. i just got the car from a friend who did everything to the car...... i really want to know how to fine tune it with the computer....cause the fuel problem is the only thing keeping me from breaking the 14.0 barrier at the track....so if anyone out there has good settings for the S-AFC runnning at 16psi....please let me know...it would be greatly appreciated...thanx
 
thanx for the page links... but those are for eclipse/talons....i have a VR-4 Galant...will those instructions apply for me also?
 
Make sure you have the "blue wire" mod done correctly and tune off of you o2 voltage. Remeber that an engine runs the best when it's put on the breaking edge so tune wisely. I have 550's and street grind cams with the biscs set at a normal level (not backed out all the way) though I tune with a TMO dataloger which is a more precise. My car will be past the break in period next week so I'll let you know how my s-afc settings look.
If you have the money go to a dyno and have them do the viscous elim. and tune the car.
 
how much wold that type of tuning cost??? like taking it to driver's image and having it done?
