dsm vs clubgtp

Ok im new to the dsm world i use to own a f-body but sold to it to build up a tsi ever since then i been in love with my car.
but for sum reason my use to be friends all r club gtp/zzp ppl and they talk straight trash on my car even tho i beat them all kinda pisses me off and shit. so the question im askin is can gtp beat a heavliy modded dsm ?

it depends on what you call a heavy moded dsm? Some people call heavy moded ,that has 400 whp,some of us call heavy moded ,that is over 700whp.......

I have a grand prix and and a talon. My grand prix is alot faster then my talon but its not stock. headers, cam, ic. Should be an 11 sec car if I could get it to hook and leaned it out some. But I also know that if you turbo a 3800 (motor in the grand prixs) They really start making power. I know a guy that had a stock n/a 3800, put a turbo on it, built trans, and slicks. He ran 12.5's. So just depends on what is done the the gtp. They are quite easy to make fast. But I find that alot of people just hate of the dsm.

I just beat my coworkers stock GTP in my gsx 5 speed tonight but I didnt know they were supercharged till i got home and tried to find out why it was so hard to beat him, it was a very close race....and the only things done to my car is cold air intake and HKS bov...

Hate to break it to you but your gt isn't running 11's. Even if it was it wouldn't be beating a built Dsm.
Have you ever been in a Dsm that is setup properly, running 30+ psi on a large turbo?

Your Header/Cam GTP is not an 11 second car. Go run it before you make up times.

Think about this, that "guy you know" had to boost an engine twice the size of ours and run slicks to break into the mid 12s.

2 of my friends have gtps with full bolt ons and a tune and they have yet to touch mid 14s ive heard of these cars being easy to mod but i dont buy it my one buddys gtp has full bolt ons 3.4 pully headers tune shift kit and i walked his ass from a 60 roll when my gsx was stock with a boost controller and exhaust.. granted he did pull me half a car from 30 roll

Those cars are only good until they shift into 3rd gear then there completely useless they have ZERO top end, there heavy as hell, fwd, automatic need I say more? If you get a healthy dsm build the head get some 1200cc injectors and 255 pump,hx35 setup with dsmlink youll run low 11s all day long and walk any gtp out there and thats with less than 3k in the car

Equally modded DSM V. GTP? HELL no they wont win. Their cars have something on them that ours dont, about 1,000 extra lbs of weight. They can talk all the shit they want, but their little puny GM superchargers cannot keep up in the top end. They have power till about 50mph, or top of 3rd gear, but you'll destroy them (off the line if your awd..) in the top end, pretty easily.

Actually, i'll go out on a limb and say you'd literally blow their doors off.
