Pittsburgh area: list of events

ok so i jsut got back from world of wheels downtown where they were passing out this year's schedules for PRP (Pittsburgh Raceway Park) as well as the flashlight drags, so i thought id post them here and they can go on the events calendar as well.

Flashlight drags at zeli:

Sat May 13, gates open @ 2, racing 4-8
Sat June 10, same as above
Sat Aug 19, gates at 2, racing 330-830
Sat Sept 16, gates at 130, racing 330-730
Sat Oct 14, gates at 1, racing 2-6

in addition they will be holding the 4th annual extreme blast at beaverun auto complex July 29th AND 30th which will include the following:

dB drags, neon competition (im just typing whats one the flyer), car and truck show, flashlight drags, go kart racing, a drift competition, a hydraulic competition, and will include dj's food, bands, and optional saturday night camping (extra cost).

now, for PRP:

Bad Boyz/Bad Girlz, 5/19, 6/2, 6/30 and 8/04
Mid America funny car show 5/27 and 8/19
Thunder in the burgh: racing between the stadiums! 6/9-6/11
Big Buck Bike Bash all bikes welcome 6/17 and 6/18

Night of fire Jet dragsters and wheelstanders 6/24
Chrysler classic events 7/21-23
Ghosts, Goblins & Gearheads (that sounds fun) 10 27-29

Norwin Hills Car Cruise

Every Saturday in the Norwin Hills parking lot, starting around 3.

This is our usual cruise spot. Nice mixture of cars (new, old, custom stuff, everything,) bikes, trucks, etc.

Nigro's Car Cruise in McKeesport

Not import friendly, but it's on 5th Avenue in McKeesport every Tuesday evening starting early May.

Caste Village Car Cruise

Sundays, I believe. Starts around 3 in the Caste Village lot in/near West Mifflin (Century III Mall)

Miracle Mile Shopping Center "Cruise"

in the summer, tons of cars. 3/4 of the people are super friendly, night time, every night of the week, they hang out up there. Mini trucks, bikes, imports, domestics, everything.

Hey Coup, I'm moving back to PA! I'll be living in STate College, though. I still have family down in Blairsville, so I'll still make my way down there for a meet sometime
