Brian I know you and a few others left early on Friday and the group I went with left late on Friday. I think we should try and get one big ass convoy and all cruise out there together. The earlier the better I would assume becasue we didn't get into CA until almost 2AM last year. By the way #### mapquest.

Yeah. Eff Mapquest. Those directions had both convoys lost in the SoCal night.

This year, I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it. I'm going to try, but as fate would have it, my good friend Dave will be in town on post-deployment leave the week of July 25th-August 2nd. I'll see if he's up for the weekend trip, but if he just wants to hang out and get some little things done on his car (his fiancee is driving it while he's all over the world), then I'll be staying behind to help him out.

We'll see. I'd really like to go again.

This year I will try to have a bit better route than last year, but we did get see a bit more of California than others.

Yeah I am taking my car and driving all the way there no matter what. It would be sweet if Mario went but I have a feeling it may be a hope more then a reality, but who knows.

We need to organize a time on Friday to leave as well as a place to stay. I can get a hotel down the street soon if people want to crash with me and my old lady.

i talked to mr. lopez himself today...he said his car is a trailer queen, and because its a dsm it will break. so he wont go unless its on a flatbed haha

That sounds like a good idea. I will getting a hotel room soon and will let a few people crash if they want. I took all day Friday off so I can leave at anytime.

Let me know who wants some floor space since we can only cram so many ####'s in one room.

Also, if anyone needs a place to stay, me and my girl have a spot available in our living room on our fold out futon and any DSM'r in need of a place to crash on Friday night is more than welcome at SCR's house

We are probably only going to bring 1 car. The only way my car is going to get down there is on a flatbed, because it is still broke. Maybe Mario wants to share a flat bed, we could ride together in the flatbed with the truck driver smiling/winking at us...but that is entirely up to Mario.

On a serious note, if we do go, I would rather head out later in the afternoon/evening, say 7-8. I'm sure her car will make it there fine, but it beind a DSM, who knows when it will over heat/have problems. Remember last year with my car...had to drive at night and up front just to keep the car from overheating.

I agree. I was thinking about leaving early, but I think later would be a good idea. My car doesn't seem to like the hot days, FMIC, and the A/C on to much. Doesn't over heat but does get hot.
