You should look into booking a flight into Chicago now. Might be less than $200. I can guarantee you a ride to Norwalk and I've already got a group of rooms reserved. Maybe you talk Luda into flying out as well and split the room? $500 would cover your flight, room, and $100 towards food/drink/racing.
It blows this thing out of the water. Hands down.

Have you been to the last NOPI event? The ladies and cars are second to none. Why go to a DSM Shootout when you can have one right in your hometown. Meet up with everyone, and cruise on down together. Im an enthusiast of all cars, and even better, im an enthusiast of women .

last year some of the chicks faces looked like they were in there 30s, there was maybe 2 that i thought were worthy of being on stage...i mean the girls werent bad for sure just as an average joe. Ive seen better at the local strip club... all the other girls i saw there were with there mans.
And the only good cars there, 90% of em were the ones racing.

Hahahahahaha. You have no idea, man. NOpi is NOT the Shootout. It is nothing remotely like the Shootout.
NOPI is an all-encompassing, how-many-different-groups-can-we-cater-to-in-order-to-increase-sales corporation. The DSM Shootout is by DSM owners for DSM owners. I think there were something like 500 DSMers at the Shootout last year. How many cars will be showing at NOpi in Phoenix? How many of them will be DSMs?
The NOpi event draws ricers from all over Phoenix down to a corner to ogle mindless twats who get all up on kitted and chromed-out cars or get almost naked on stage while some random, hip-hop-lugnut "spits phat beatz." They charge you to show your car. They charge other people to view it. The DSM Shootout is all about the DSM community. We invade an entire town. Every hotel for 20 miles is sold out and full of DSMs. The local carwash has lines three deep for five stalls, all DSMs. There's three DSMs at every intersection. When you get home, you have a sunburn on your arms from having them out the window to wave at other DSMers.
To me, NOpi is putting on a show to entertain ricers from all walks of life, but the Shootout is a celebration of DSM and the 4G63. Four days of all the DSM you an handle. That is second to none.
You guys have fun. Mr. Cynic is going to try to put something else together for the local DSM community in the coming months that will be a good time. You'll see.
