Alright fellas this being my first post on here iv been searching for a few hours and got a lil idea on what could be the proble but looking for a little more info...
iv been working on a buddies dsm 95 eclipse for the second day today and still in the crosshairs.... when ever he comes to a stop sign/red light the idle drops down real low almost wanting to stall but doesnt.... if he puts it in neutral(automatic) the idle comes back up to normal.
cyl 1 spark plug wire was broke so we replaced that, along with fuel filter and spark plugs did a light fuel system clean.
car is still having the same problem

anyhelp would be much appreciated.

same here, i got the same problem. except when its warm outside it idles around 200 rpm's... and it likes to bob from around 100 to 300 sometimes... i have not changed the sparks or wire yet. i think its misfiring so hope i can fix it!

well i had him take it to get the codes read, im on house arrest so it makes it a little more difficult for me to get the sourses i need.
well the the code read P1297 Fuel Air Meter, from what iv found searching every thread is about aftermarket air/fuel gauges.does anyone have experiance with this code.....

alright well im not to familiar with dsm set up's but if im not mistakin in 2g the air mass meter in mounted to the air box, is that correct??

another issue... if he puts the car in nuetral at the stop light while having the idle problem the cars rpm'srun up to about 3k...

any input???

You might want to post this in the newbie section. Not too many people check out the regional forum.

Whats got me so confused is the fact that there is no MAF, or at least no like I see on the othe 2g on here. Is there a diffrence between a turbo and non turbo MAF.
This car being non turbo

Thanks so far for the help, i moved my ??? to the newbie thread
