Any DSM's in the Gainesville, Florida area?

I recently moved back to Gainesville and I'm wondering if there's anybody from here on the forum? Are there any car meets around here? When I use to live here, people met on Archer road near Target on Thursday nights. That was back in 2002 though. I ran into one guy at the auto store with a 1ga Eclipse but, it was kinda. I'm going to go out to the Gainesville raceway on Wednesday nights for test and tune. Hopefully, I'll see some DSM's out there.

im currently in nj right now untill i get the new motor in my car maybe around towrds the end of this month then im coming back to FL. in crystal river. ill meet up when i get back

i know ill be driving my car down when i have it done thats where my family is in crystal river im going to try to make it in a day non stop. but right now in the prossess of pulling my blown motor out then i can insatll the good built one i have.

oh yea very happy once its done cant wait. it will actully be my first time driving it after its done. there are only a few cars by me in fl that look like they can be fast but most cars there are mustangs and 3g eclipses and cavalirs with exhausts

They still meet up on archer on thurday nights. I left Gainesville about 2 years ago with running DSM. Sav still has his but it needs minor work and he's not going to do it. There is a few Evos running around. Other than that good luck.

I'll probably go out there sometime soon. I haven't been out there since 2002 when I had my Honda Civic. Back then, there were quite a few turbo DSM's running around. I admit, I was a bit jealous with my 1.5L, non-turbo, 102 crank hp Civic. These days, it's hard to find people with DSM's anywhere around here. A lot of people don't even know what they are anymore.

Do you remember Sav with the ol' 1G? He's still around, as a matter of fact, I saw him two weeks ago at HIN Orlando. There's plenty here in Jacksonville, if you ever want to come chill out.

almost time for me to be coming back down actually it will be the end of august now only because i need to get my ksports back from my friend then put them on. cant waint im getting axious!

I don't think I know him. Back in the day, I remember seeing a few 1g's around but I didn't know who owned them. I just got my first DSM back in January 2008. I may drive up to Jax sometime.

Atleast you'll make it down here before the cold winter arrives in NJ.

Well as for meeting dsm's i know there are some here in jacksonville, I myself have 3, and there are a few of which a very moded. Usually on saturday nights at Sonic Parking lot on Beach Blvd and route 9A. Its almost for certain if you feel like runnin down some cars that people leave the parking lot in the 20's and 30's and get up on the highway and line up.

There is a DSM/EVO Monthly Meet every last Thursday of the month at the Publix at the St. Johns Town Center location. We actually share the same parking lot with the Subaru crowd and keep each other in good company.

There's are a good bit of DSMr's in Jacksonville surely. I went out to Sonic last night for the first time in months and met another 1G owner.

Since we're talking between Gainesville people and Jacksonville people on here, are any of you going to the Annual DSM/EVO Shootout next weekend? We're leaving on Wednesday night and bringing both our DSM's all the way to Ohio.

I just moved from Orlando in June. Do you ever go out to the track in Bithlo? I went a few couple time with my Eclipse. I sold my Honda Civic and bought the Eclipse. Orlando is like the Honda/Acura theft capital.
