hey whats up everyone? i was having problems getting registered but got logged in tonight for the 1st time.:thumb: i'm just wondering how many people are around this forum in the atlanta area? i don't own a dsm yet but i am looking. right now i drive an 05 SRT-4(which does have an eclipse motor, LOL) but i will be selling it soon and i am on the lookout for a 95-99 awd dsm. hopefully i'll have one in the next few weeks even though i'd love to have one by the 1st for showdown. finding clean non beat up cars is getting harder and harder...i'm most likely gonna have to go out of state but hey i gotta do what i gotta do! anyways i just wanted to say whats up and see who is around thats in the atlanta area and if any IA people are on here.
 
I am from Atl(powder springs actually) but I have moved on and found my way to VA.

As far as your srt-4, it doesnt have an eclipse engine in it. It is a 2.4 which is loosely base off of the neon engine. In 95, the eclipse n/t began using the 420a from the neon but with a totally different head. This is still a 2.0 n/t engine. The srt-4 engine is actually from the pt cruiser, not the eclipse. The original dsm engine is either a 2.0 4g63, 4g63t, or 4g37 1.8 engine which all were introduced into the dsm line in 1990 and almost entirely opposite of the 2.4 found in the srt4. If you look at an underhood shot of a turbo eclipse, you will find that the timing belt is on the driver side and the tranny is on the passenger side which is completely different from what you have.
 
I live in ATL (sandy springs). I just got my 91 Talon TSi AWD about 2 weeks ago but it doesnt run, and untill its running you can see me driving around town in my black S14 with a bright yellpw front bumper.

some good stuff i did'nt know in there^ but yeah i was speaking of the 2000 and up 4cyl eclpise motors, the 2.4. also the ralliart lancer motor. now the entire motor is'nt the same but the block is, while the SRT4 has different pistons for lower compression.

No offense but unfortunately, we dont recognize the 2k+ eclipse on here. We are dsm tuners and focus all of our attention on 90-99 eclipse, talon, and lasers. Anything beyond 99 is chrysler, not dsm and doesnt fit into this catagory of cars(unless it is an evo).

no offence taken whatso ever, i was just saying it is an eclipse motor but u were thinking i was talking about the dsm eclipse instead of the 2.4 n/t motor. i'm not on here to get info on my current car though...my SRT4 has nothing to do with me being on this forum but the fact of me selling this wheel hopping and spinning car to buy a awd 2G. i bought the SRT about 8 months ago and have done the exhaust, intake, FMIC, and alot of suspension upgrades and was about to get a 50 trim put on but the more i thought about it i relized i could get a car i've allways loved with the money i was about to put into my SRT build and have no or a very little car payment. so it was either SRT w/450whp and a large payment and be so broke i can't afford gas or sell the SRT, buy a dsm, have money to build the hell out of it and have a little cash to spend. bye bye SRT, hello :dsm:
 
Hello i just moved into the atlanta area about 2months ago. Dont buy your new dsm from a dealer the one i got myn from didnt tell me my timing belt was about to go.
