Need Help!!my Dsm Having Problems!!!!

dont know were to post this so i did so here....i have a 2ng and i have a not so small prob. once my car hits full boost its if i have a fuel cut and it jerks and it also wont go past 5 grand. do u know what could possibly the prob? or a good DSM mechanic in the 323 or 562 area? or any were near he Los Angeles area.....hopefully someone here can help

I had the same problem once at full boost (15PSI at the time) after 4700 it would bog and not go past 4700. I checked my spark plugs and they were shot. I got some new NGK BPR7ES and it was good as new.

have you done a boost leak test?

This may be a first, but I had a similar problem where a metal piece in the middle of my cone filter came off and was being tumbled around inside the cone filter. In my situation I think the piece would at times land flat up against the honeycombs in the maf and throw off the correct amount of air being metered. I took the piece out, the car never had that problem again. (As advice check that nothing is interfering with your honeycombs)

yes c my spark plugs were recently changed out so don't think its that...thanks....i just recently switched the stock intake box to a cone filter......well i was told it had something to do wit my ignition system...I'm gonna swap out my coil pack tomorrow(sat) and ill let u know what happens...about www.ladsm.com i tried registering and nothing came up on my email to activate my account....ill give it another try...ill c if i can get the add were u guys meet in Norwalk and ill be there...thank you my fellow DSM'ers

Dont swap coil paccs yet. what are your plugs gapped at? What plugs are you currently running? Have you checced to see if your spark plug wires are arcing? If everything checcs out, then you can test the coil pacc.

Why? Testing the coilpack takes all of thirty seconds (if that), if you have a multimeter and know which pins to test, and for what resistances you're expecting.
