So it's time to paint the car. I'm looking for a shop in the area that I can trust to do a really good job for a decent price. I'm looking to do a dark metallic grey pearl. The other threads seemed to have places a little far out. I mean, I would go to them if need be but just wanted to see if anyone could recommend a place here in the area. thanks in advance.

there this place called 1 day paint that has like 10yr warrenty on there paint for like 700bucks, they do a good job, hiphop805 (todd) got his car painted there, just have a small overspray problem, atleast you get free matching intercooler pipes and intercooler:D

LOL, interesting. No front mount but I can have a matching convertible top that sounds like a bowl of rice crispies when I open it. ;) Oooo... But seriously, if you say they're good, I'm down. Do you know where they're located, Andy?

Small overspray problem? Like they didn't tape up the IC openings??? You get what you pay for...

very true... I mean, I'm willing to pay to get the job done right the first time, I guess I should rephrase: I want to find a paint/body shop that is skilled and reasonable. Got any suggestions silvah_gsx?

then i can send you to RDCustoms, they did my bodykit, they charge like 2grand for a full car spray.but all they worked on was restoring muscle cars, so they do a hell of a clean job. no overspray. ill try to get the number

Worco Powdercoating referred me to a paint shop they like, not sure about cost but Worco is reputable with the Evo guys, so their reccomendation can't be too bad.

Here's Worco's number: (562) 602-0477

Could try also one of those Maco (spelling) shops...

yeah, I thought about that at first. I mean, there's an earl scheib in reseda and they have a pretty decent looking package deal with a 6 year warranty for $600 but I'm a little iffy on those, I mean the warranty means that I don't have to worry about it for a while but if the job is crap from the get go then it's really doesn't mean anything. I think it's a roll of the dice to see if you get someone who happens to be working there but with talent.

Thanks for the referral, I'll give them a call.
