Drag Strips and Race Gas?

I searched for old threads and found some info, but since I am new to the area, I am unfamiliar with locations.

I live in Irvine, and basically I just want to know if there are drag strips still open, how long into the year they are open, and who likes to go. I know my car is slow, but I would like to see what I could squeeze out of it since the last time I ran it.

Also, where can I get some race gas? It seems as though there are a handful of gas stations which carry high octane gas.

It looks like people like to meet up on the weekends, no? Where would I go to run into some other DSMers?
