hey guys,

I'm lookin for a shop in SoCal or a dsmer down there who could help me with the install of my new FMIC and maft blowthrough set up. Im up in SLO and i dont have any tools here, sooo yeah

hit me back, thanks guys.

Shop I trust mine to is Precision Motorsports here in Burbank. An FMIC install shouldn't be that tough though, just some screwdrivers, a socket set, wrenches, and maybe a breaker bar just in case.

Talk to Harvey, let him know John with the white GSX gave you the number. Usually will cut people I send over better prices. :thumb:

I've kinda lost faith in RRE a bit. They're a decent place to get parts, but overcharge for actual service. Got charged $40 to hook up my turbo timer... and they didn't even hook up the e-brake safety, much less splice in the O2 tap. Not to mention the waiting list. Last I knew, it was up to two weeks.

That and one of their techs didn't know that the HKS SSQV has a recirculation kit available. :b

Yeah, DSS is awesome, Mike's a great guy, but last i heard he moved to germany, he might be back, but im not really sure. Anyways, i dont have much faith in slo mechanics, since the only real DSM specialist isn't really here anymore.

and its not so much the FMIC im worried about installing, it's the MAFT that kinda freaks me out. that and cutting my bumper.. this core's pretty thick - 3.5" I'd rather have a pro who knows what they're doing hack into my bumper than me, which is again why i dont wan't a slo mechanic to do it LOL.

I think im gonna check out precision, RRE is great for parts, but i also heard the bad rap about their service :/ ah well. Thanks for the replies folks

i did'nt know SLO was concidered so cal?... i can definetly recommend Road Race Engineering. I have been going there since 98 when i bought my car new. they will always offer to do the right mod, even if they dont sell you something, they are not sales people, i think that is a good thing. 562-777-1522 RRE :thumb:

Taken care of. Heh... check your cup-holder, man. :)

Dynamic Autosport - 949.457.1234

Dynamic Autosports began it's operations in the summer(?) of 1991 with Eddie Kim at the helm of operations. Using extensive knowledge he gained in the early Southern California racing scene, he set out with one specific goal in mind - to bring the best parts to the import performance market. Tired of the shops that offered "all show-no-go" dress-up accessories, he turned to the established domestic racing market to tap into the plethora of race parts available to serious racers, combining existing technology with the imaginative "think tank" at his disposal - his experienced tuning staff.

The DA staff realized that the import performance market was growing and that with this growth, a slew of purported racing parts, good and bad, would soon flood unknowing buyers. In an attempt to weed out lower quality parts, they realized that an accurate and arbitrary measuring instrument must be utilized, and the dynamometer was introduced to the import racing world. As one of the first shops to own and operate a Dynojet dynamometer on a regular basis, it was possible to test which parts backed up horsepower claims, and which were simply blowing hot air. While other "shops" continued to sell and install low quality imitation parts or shiny pretty pieces that had no performance benefit, Dynamic stepped out of the norm and pushed for parts that they tested as the best for performance. While the profit margins were low, they derived the satisfaction of knowing that they were installing the best parts available, and it showed in the exponential growth of the company.

Years later, while others struggled to follow the example that Dynamic was setting, with satisfied customers and fast cars a regular sight at the shop, they decided to take it to the next level. Using technology only previously available to domestic race cars, Dynamic engineered the ACCEL Digital Fuel injection system to work on a four-cylinder Honda and a legend was born. Dave Shih and his Silver Bullet CRX established and re-established new records and raised the standard for import racers everywhere, backed by members of Dynamic's staff as his own race crew. Using the experienced gained during this race campaign, Dynamic introduced the market to the industry standard race parts of today - JE pistons and Crower connecting rods. By now, the Dynamic name was reaching people worldwide, and the Wholesale Distribution department grew in leaps and bounds.

Continuing as an industry leader, Dynamic sought out new parts that worked well and ended with a rather impressive history of "firsts". They were the original APEX Master WD for the North American continental region, they introduced the first products from the NuFormz line, they became the largest import distributor for Crower and JE, they helped to mainstream DRAG turbo kits and became their largest distributor, and the list goes on.

Rather than switch over to a phone-sales warehouse that simply stocked parts (the easy way out), Dynamic continued it's tradition of installation and service for every customer, from walk-in weekend warriors to professional race teams calling around the world. The technicians continued installing and tuning cars and Dynamic kept up its reputation as a world-class engine tuning facility. Manufacturers began looking to the knowledgeable sales staff to aid in research and development of new parts and, to this day, Dynamic is among the industry leaders for technical support and research development, and testing. Among the manufactures that continue an outgoing rapport - Eibach Pro-Valve springs, Ferrea Racing valves, Darton Racing cylinder sleeves, Fluidyne, Royal Purple, etc.

Today, Dynamic continues to push forth past the cutting edge, constantly evaluating and re-evaluating new products, perfecting tuning skills, and guiding the direction of import performance, although largely behind the scenes. The current staff consists of qualified mechanics and knowledgeable and experienced sales people, not shade-tree mechanics or kids with tools. They continue to uphold the technical expertise and customer service that propelled them to their legendary status, providing their customers with carefully scrutinized racing parts, insuring that a part bought from Dynamic is the best part available.

With a history like that of Dynamic Autosports, it would be a crime to buy your parts or take your car to anyone else.

Dude. I installed his FMIC and MAF-T myself at Precision. Had it ready the next day... which was, like, two months ago. :b
