Not too many local DSMers in the Phoenix area looking to slap body kits on their rides and sport tacky decals in the windows instead of actually making their cars perform aside from loud stereos, but hey! Who's stereotyping?

Basically, join us or miss out. We just had close to 40 Mitus and DSMs meet yesterday in Scottsdale. It was posted here, DSM_SW, az2gnt, Team-2G, DesertDiamonds...

Excuse Brian's , bluntness but normally when you here the word "car club" or "racing team" that's what comes to mind.

SWDSM is more for the turbo cars and az2gnt is more for the N/T cars but your welcome to check out both. az2nt meets mostly at the pavilions in Scottsdale and SWDSM meets mostly at the IN-N-OUT on Ray and Priest in Chandler.

Agreed. We saw these four black cars roll into Pavs last weekend with "Street Menace" decals on them. A late 90s GT Mustang, a late 90s M3, something else not worth mentioning, and a black 2GNT with a body kit and 14" steelies. We let that DSM park with the rest of the cars that were later trying to look "hard" while bumping "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio.

This is true. There are people on both sites, L2R and myself included. If something DSM-related is going on in Phoenix, I want in on it. Which reminds me...

It depends on how many people are there. It normally starts at about 7-8 and will go up to 3-4 hours if quite a few people are there.

Bell Rd. Thats where there are a ton of cars, usually ricers. I belive its 35th & Bell is Ramaro's Taco joint. Just cruise up and down that road you'll find it around 35th ave and you'll find it

Oh shit. I'd never stop in there. Ghetto every time I see it. I'm not thug enough to hang there. Also up that area, I heard there are a lot of dipshit street racers that meet at the Sonic at 35th Ave and Union Hills.

Once in a while, the west side guys will meet up at the INO at Bell and the 101, but we've only done that twice in the last year. Your best bet for meeting DSMers is to hit up the spots where they already meet.

Whichever local forum you check out (Hell, join 'em both), you'll be sure to get the skinny on the tech you need, without the BS you don't. Fortunately, both the local DSM communities frown on rice hard core.

Yeah I was at 35th and Union Hills where I rolled into Sonic. Some younger guy told me " Hey, ill give you my shoes for your car" the audience laughing( my side skirt was ripped off earlyer that week so its kinda ugly/ricey. So I roll thru and exit, and here he comes. Hey, how many pounds of boost are you running? I reply 15. He says you want to race this SRT4? I say sure why not. He tells his friend , Hey xxxx race this eclipse. As I proceed to park to see whats with the srt4. They come over and ask me what I have done. I pop the hood, they instantly see the Tubular Manifold connected to a... turbo thats ALOT bigger than the stock srt4 turbo. I say, t3/t4 /w bolt ons, where you want to run? He replies, well, were getting ready to take off. There are supposed to be some races at waterwold (never mentioning the race). He then says nice F'in headers . I had to ask, " whats with the my shoe for my car statement? He then says, oh we give everyone shit. Then tells me nice car as he walks off. See everyone has some rice in them. Either it be there car or the way they act.

its thursday, roll down to In&Out. Take the 10 east, till you get to Ray, exit, then turn left. you'll go just over a ¼ mile and it will be on the left, next to Lowes, etc. We usually meet up around 8pm+. Hope to see you there.

Heck, I live literally around the corner and cringe everytime I drive by on Saturdays. I guess I'm too old to hang with the kiddies. I'm busy on Thursdays, so, I can't make the East side meets. One of these days...

Slight correction though. The Ramiro's is at 43rd and Bell. Only place I spun my tires on pavement leaving the drive thru after being pinned it waiting for almost a half hour for the person in front of me to get there order. Needless to say, I didn't eat there that night and won't go back.

Since you asked, these aren't necessarily DSM meets, but they're on your side of town and, if you can drive, I bet I know a couple guys who would be down to show you the ropes.

Dec 3rd Saturday Drivers School
Dec 4th Sunday Fall Series #4

I'd be at the events on the 8th and 9th, if not to race - to watch (as the car is not ready yet) or maybe borrow a good friend's 2G RX7, but I'll be heading an Pit Crew at the Prescott Rally that weekend.

We are also planning something large at Mark Mitsubishi (BBQ/show) in the coming weeks and have one more date with club space at Pavilions before the end of the year. Details can be found in the Agenda forum.
