Hey fellow dsmer's, I am currently in Coronado island and work at NAS, any dsmer's live around San Diego area? Like dsm clubs and such.
I see a lot of dsm's at the Qualcomm 1/8th races and such. I'll probably be there on this comming Friday.
 
I am not from san diego, but i go there alot to visit my g/f. Maybe one of these times i go down there we can meet up and party or something....IF you know of any other dsmers down there, it would be cool with me to meet up.

I live in the SD and, like you, would like to meet with other DSMer's. I'll be at qualcom this friday May 5. Say wazup... GST, silver, huge int clr., and no spoiler.
 
glad to see someone's in SD area :) I am stationed in Coronado naval air base.
I used to go to qualcomm all the time, black gsx, no spoiler, silver swirlies...
anyways thing is since i'm in the military and my shift just got changed over, i can't show up to qualcomm til at least 12am. not worth it for me anymore.
Know of any DSM friendly shops or hang outs?

hey im over at NAS too, sddsm can be some help but they dont seem to be in the mood to help most of the time, more in the mood to f off and be a$$es when you need help. anyways, i used to have a 95 gst, tryin to sell this car and get back into a DSM. i got one lined up too. anyone else in SD?

hell yeah, all about SD! I live in Logan Heights, I have a 95 TSI AWD, and soon, I mean real soon, like this weekend I will be getting my new DSM, a nother 95 TSI, email me at [email protected]e!!!

When you want the help of people who know what their doing, you often have to put up with the fact that they're bored of your problems. Not like here where everyone will volunteer their ussually incorrect 2 cents.

understandable but i mean the purpose of DSM specific forums is for gettin help for problems. At least if you are not going to help, dont make sarcastic comments or jack the thread and turn it in to a thread BSing about your day at work ( just an example and i wasnt talkin specifically to anyone)

Glad to see we have some DSM in San Diego on this site so saying that i need some help with fixing my dsm its a project i started. I have a 1.8 eclipse gs that I'm turning to a gst who in San Diego that has some skills in fixing cars & would like to meet up and help a brother out ,Hopefully i can meet up with all Diego DSMR one day. This city is such a Honda town i can't get help with nothing when it comes down to my car :cry: i can't even find parts from the junk yard does anybody else have this problem or is it just me? If i can get some help from a local we can be friends for life. :D
 
I'm a little north of San Diego city, in Escondido. There is a meet at Clairemont Mesa's Fusion cafe every Tuesday night (down south, exit off 163-S or 15-S). I 've been there a few times, but it's usually drifter people (240s), and I'm the only dsm there (apart from a VR-4).
 
Is it a big meet would you say? Like on average how many people? The meet I go to every thursday is big but it's all people from SoCal Evo, and I'm looking for something else...

I don't know what "big" would mean, but we have around 45-60 cars fill up the parking lot. It is nothing official; people show up at 7:30 pm and leave by midnight. No sponsors, etc, just a few car heads getting together to oogle at the cars and talk auto for a few hours.
 
I dont know the exact address, though coming from Poway and Escondido (north of Clairemont Mesa), you take 15-S, then 163-S, exit off Clairemont Mesa, take a right on exit, and you go for a little while, Cafe Fusion is in the lot on the right. Sorry about being so vague, I don't know the zip coden or the shop number. Also, since I has summer school Tues and Thurs nights, I havent checked out that place in 2 months (8 week course), though I hope they are still there. A lot of Qualcomm regulars like to hang out there.
