Alrighty I have a 1990 TSI AWD, I really dont have any mods other than a MBC and a Starion FMIC, also I have the cat hollowed out. I wanted to raise the boost to like 15 lbs but i could never get past like 13 no matter what i did so I did a leak test, and there was a Loud hissing sound coming from the turbo, it sounded like it came from where the housings connected or around the turbine side? What does this mean????? it is the stock turbo and has never been touched. THanks.

Alright, how do I get to the o-ring to check it out and where do I get a new one if it is the problem.

Go to http://www.vfaq.com/mods/Turbo-rebuild.html and do what it says. As soon as you get to the part where you need to use the circlip pliers you're just about to the o-ring. As soon as you can remove the compressor housing you will see the o-ring that needs replaced. I used an o-ring that comes with the fuel filter for a 2000 Ford pick up with the 7.3 litre diesel engine. I got mine from a local Ford dealer because my girlfriend worked there and got me discounts, so I don't know what the part number will be at any auto store but the one I got was a Motorcraft part number FD-4596. It will come with two o-rings, it's the smaller one that you want to use. Let me know if you need anything else and I'll try to help out if I can.

Alright Guys I finally quit being lazy and pulled my turbo, and I went and got the fuel filter, and the o ring was the PERFECT size, so thank alot for the tip, but anyway I installed it and it is the same I max at like 12 lbs still so Im gonna do another boost leak test and see what happends. But thanks alot TalonTSi-AWD91 for the tip on where to get the o-ring.

Well it wasnt a boost leak or anything like that, Im guessing it was somethin electrical because I got a New ECU and now I can boost all I want to.
