When I get on it my car kicks back, almost like the engine is cutting power. With the expection of a 3" exhaust (DP, Testpipe, Catback... stock 02 housing, unported), the car is completly stock. It also seems like the engine is a little juttery at partial throttle. Any clues? Could I be hitting fuel cut?!?

Car is a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD

you could be hitting fuel cut since the exhaust is so opened up. What is your boost sitting at when you are full throttle? In the new import tuner, they were hitting fuel cut on the 92 they were dyno testing with about the same mods as yours and no boost controller. Is your maf hacked yet?

i have definatly had a lot of trouble like this in my 92. Its still slightly their to I can feel it at full throttle. My mas is hacked, and i have open exhaust. What i did was restricted the air for a while, and would disconect my battery for long periods of time(like over night) and its much better. I guess a mbc will fix it? I've been told.

I'm willing to bet it's fuel cut, because the lack of porting on that teeny tiny O2 housing is making more boost on the 14B, and creating more airflow, thus fuel cut.

Get a boost gauge man.

Boost gauge installed, I maxed out at 19 psi, alot higher then I thought I was hitting, but the car does not feel like it was going that fast. And that was only once, average

Here some more stuff may help you guys help fix this:

I did a hard launch and gunned it all the way through 4th the problem did not show. And everytime I gun it from a stop, no problem:confused:

I was crusing going up a hill and I was going to pass someone when I gunned the car went NO WHERE.

Same hill, same time. dropped it into 4th. The car could not accelerate and boost stayed at 9 psi.

The car makes a constant "sputta sputta" sound right before it makes a "stickaah!" sound and loses power for a breif second. And continues to sputta.

Maybe a sensor is off or bad. I was just thinking, under hard acceleration the ECU ignores the A/F ratio sensors and reverts to a preprogrammed fuel map, right? Maybe thats why the problem doesn't show under hard acceleration?!?

I can't see from your supporting modes how you can safely boost to 19 psi. You need a few more things. Limit your max boost to 17 psi until you can address fuel enrichment. Of course if I am mistaken about your mods, sorry.
regards
:laser:

if i were you i'd go out right away and get a boost controller and turn down that boost. 19psi is not safe w/ your mods at all. i would turn it down no higher than 16 until you get an AFC, Fuel Pump, and regulator. And it definitly sounds like fuel cut that your hitting

Well its not fuel cut, I read around from other posts, the fuel cut feels like you slammed on your brakes. This feels like I misfiring, I think....

I can't turn down the boost anymore. Its on a stock BCS. It crept/spiked at 19 psi, its not set that way. I need to get a ported 02 housing, which I just bought. For now, I just don't hit full throttle, that usually keeps the boost under 10 psi. Which is good for now. But when the problem arrives, the car feels like its dying and boost WILL NOT go past 11 psi, even if I hammer it.

Please, someone explain to me what the hell is causing this. The problem is getting worse. I talked to a guy at Ralliart. He said it sounded like fouled sparkplugs, I replaced them, and I'm stilling getting the problems. Also putting in Mangecore wires. The tips of the Spark Plugs were white, what does that mean?

PLEASE HEEEELP MEEE!!!!

Your exhaust is too big and your boost is too high, and you don't have enough fuel. You're destroying your engine. Good job. :thumb:

LOL, thanks!!! I know that! but the problem is happens while not at full boost. I'll check compression to see if I lost a some rings, if all go bads, at least ya'll will have a parts car, with about $4000 worth of performance parts.
