this will work on both Turbo and NA cars, but I dont know if I should double post the thread so I wont =)

ok, just to clarify hyper blink is just the turn signal blinking really fast and relaying is when the the two lights in the back alternate , so when one is on the other is off. The lights furthest from the center are not affected, when the headlights are on one light is off, and when you hit the brakes the light that was off turns on and the light that was on turns off.

When the headlights are not on the tail lights will hyper blink, when they are on they will relay.

Installion is a snap! go to an automotive store and buy philips 1004 bulbs, they are 12 volts and part number 1004 BC. Use a pair of wire cutters to remove one nipple from each bulb. take out the stock bulb closest to the center and replace them with the 1004 bulbs, they will only fit one way.

leave the bulbs out of they tail lense assembaly and test (just to be sure you got them in right, no point in taking it all apart again.

Thats it!

PS I figure if we got together and bought the ebay stuff and one person tried it all out it'd save us all money. I spent 13 dollars so far and 13/hundred of DMSers= pennies ;)

when i did that mod all you have to do is cut the ground wire which goes to the center lights, works the same as you described and took 10 seconds and didnt require spending money. just my 2 cents.

never said there wasnt more then 1 way to do it =)
I personally dont like cutting wires when I dont need to, but at least people know there is alternative way that saves them 2 bux and the trouble of finding the bulbs.

I'm new to the import/DSM scene, so Where is the Grounding wire located on the car, i opened the trunk and saw a lot of wires, but I didn't cut any because i was afraid to cut the wrong one. So please them where it is cuz i want the hyperblink lights.

PS: I know it sounds stupid;)

ok, looking into your trunk on the taillights there are three housings for the light bulbs, the wire you are going to cut is the last housing towards the center of the car. there are three wires, a green, a green with a white stripe, and black, cut the black wire and youll have the hiper blink.

a stupid question but was curious...da nipple is da bottom of da bulb..where it screws in right?..and what if u cut like 2 nipples off will it blink super fast?....like i said was jus curious

its different and I personally like the effect. better then a big a$$ type R sticker isnt it?

yeah it is better than a type r sticker but the fast blinkers and type r sticker usually go together.=rice. maybe if you hook them up right when you do your little fly by with the hazards they will blink fast too.:thumb:

its not fast blinking in the back...

the outside light furthest from the center is always on, and when you use your turn signal the 2 inner lights alternate instead of blinking at the same time.

Also, if you put on the hazzard lights with the bulbs/ground wire cut, it blinks slower then normal hazzard lights it just switches back and forth between the lights.

I dont think there is anything "rice" about this mod. I mentioned the type R sticker since its false badging, this is just something to make your stock stuff a little cooler and costs between free (cutting a wire) and 2 dollars (or less) for bulbs

When I do my flyby? You must have me mixed up with someone else. There is no need to go on the offensive with me, I dont have the time, or desire to bother arguing. So umm, congrats you won an internet fight! heh

Spdy5abi the nipples are the grounds, if you cut them both it wont light up at all

Malenko, wow a little frustrated are we, all i was saying is that is kinda ricey. i mean isnt the thing we all make fun of on this board stuff like that. false badging, false lighting. whatever if it looks good thats great, it just sounds a little ricey. believe me if i wanted a fight i would pick a better topic then lights to do it with.;)

i didnt really get your description of this lighting thing, id have to see it in person :|

ignore the out-most 2 lights, think of the inside 2.

when you use your turn signal instead of them both blinking at the same time it'll blink like this: ( O= off *=on )

0* ECLIPSE **
*0 ECLIPSE **
0* ECLIPSE **
*0 ECLIPSE **

and hazzard lights like this:

0* ECLIPSE *0
*0 ECLIPSE 0*
0* ECLIPSE *0
*0 ECLIPSE 0*

What exactly is false lighting? Making them blink in a different squence is all this "mod" does. And if you go the bulb route all you have to do is replace the bulbs with stock ones and the effect goes away, If you cut the ground wire, then all you'd have to do is splice the wire, completely reversable.

As for my "frustration" its mainly aimed at the word rice not you. That word is used so much it no longer has meaning. I mainly use it to describe false badging, mounted primered body kits, and not all wings, but ones that are way too big for a car, among other things. there is a green neon around here witha 58" black dual decker spoiler and that is rice. my turn signal blinking differently then stock however isnt rice.

just a question, what lights usually blink? is it the outer most light? it would look better if you could make the outer most light stay on and make the two inner lights blink at the same time. i mean when you put your blinker on the second and third light are going to alternate between blinks right? i am still going to stick with the original opinion, i dont think its going to look as nice as you think it will. it sounds like the old school trick the guy with impalas used to do.

Anybody know how I can make my lights hyperblink when I turn I know it's ricey but I think it looks better and makes people think your not running anything under your hood. So you become a sleeper.................... Thanks in Advance.....
