Hey all, this is the situation-2 guages, autometer phantom 2 1/16, Boost/vacc 30-30(used, dsmtrader) and EGT 1600(new in box off ebay), Grounded both lights together at a good ground on the frame close to my feet and have the power for the lights both spliced of the..green and white wire? at the cig lighter, EGT gauge power goes straight into cig lighter fuse with a 30amp fuse and its grounded by itself on the frame by my feet, swapped both lights for brand new 194b or something, EGT probe installed about 1inch down from O2 housing on DP.

Last night i noticed that the gauges seemed to have different colors, the boost gauge seemed light blue and the EGT seemed dark blue, this is the first time ive noticed this after like 2 weeks so im guessing it wasnt like that before but it always could just be my head or something. Today i start the car and im letting it warm up and i notice my EGT isnt going up past 100 when it should be getting close to 400. At first i think well shit im running rich but then as im driving i start to go through my gears and the gauge starts going crazy, the needle starts spazing out and jumping around really fast then it would stop and do it again and stop, after giving it some hell and driving for a bit i managed to get it up to like 500 or something but its still spazing out, i went through some gravel and it seemed like the holes in the road and bumps also triggered this needle spazing thing, might be my head i dunno.

Only thing i can think of is the wiring is messed up or the probe already went bad, i did a quick glance over all the wiring to see if anything came lose but nothing seems to have came lose. What do you all think it is? If its the damn probe autometer ows me a new F'n probe, its only been like 2 weeks, if that.

O and i did give the car more hell yesterday then normal, actually alot more then normal, trying to get my mbc set to the boost i want and all which seems harder then it should be, the sweet spots like really small i cant seem to find any ground between 12psi and like 20psi but dont worry about that, time will fix that, i need to figure this gauge out, hehe:)

well does anyone know if this is exactly what a bad probe does or is there a chance my wiring got messed up? i glanced at the wiring and it all seemed to still be hooked up right.

Wierd thing i noticed, i was really carefull as to not give the car heck yesterday, i didnt go into boost once and kept my revs down under 3k and around 2k all day, the needle didnt flutter once, but it didnt read right either, its stayed at like 200...........Whats up with my gauge??? if i pull the probe out will i be able to tell if its bad or not by looking at it?
