Today I got new exhaust for my GST. It is cat-back with 2.5 inch piping going into a magnaflow type muffler to a resonated tip. It has a pretty deep sound and is very quiet while cruising while if you punch it it does not SCREAM, but it is much louder than stock, especially outside the car.

Price for one 2.5 was a bit cheaper, if I ever do upgrade turbos, it will probably be a 16g 14b or t28 or similar size. Also, with the bends going over the rear, it would have been hard to get 3" in there. Also, my power goals dont really demand 3". I plan to stay relatively stock.

Yeah, stock look is what I was aiming for! I was kind of worried about loosing my dual tips, bit the oval looks pretty awesome.

I really like the sound quality of it, has a nice solid tone with no rasp to it. You should record some take off and rolling video of it.

sounds good..i did the same thing but i removed the cat and used a apexi gt muffler.

Gotta say I feel bad for GST owners for that gnarly routing though.

Looks and sounds great, although I did notice that odd "L" bend in the rear after the cat.. Is that how you ran it or is that just the stock path for all GSTs?

Did you notice any power gains?

@ DSMNoob, where the pipe is running is the stock location for the GST's, it was a pain to get all of it bent.

Thats the stock routing for all Gs-T's. I have my 2.5 routed the same way but i dont have a CAT or muffler. just a similar tip. When I go 3 inch im gonna go under the crossmember like the GSX.

I was thinking of just going under the cross member but it is pretty close to the ground.
