I meant to say log and tune LINK (my bad, I don't have LINK yet) without needing a laptop, with this little unit one could build a CARPUTER

Thats only if the Link will run on an ARM kernel? I imagien drivers may be troublesome, but its a cool idea. I looked into one of these for a carputer, but I'm still partial to x86/x64.

yeah I did not give that a thought DAMN:ohdamn:

Reviving this... it’s 2019 and raspberry pi and other miniature computers are readily available with USB interface, Wifi, Bluetooth etc. is anyone running the link interface from a small form factor pc and displaying it on a touchscreen in the dash?

I’m not really at this point in my build yet but I plan to delete my radio and 3D print a bezel for a touchscreen and hopefully run link software via a raspberry pi but even if it’s a standard laptop tucked under the seat mirroring the built in display I’ll consider it a win.

Let me know if you’ve tested any similar setups out and what success/failures you experienced along the way.

I have been considering this.. a pi 3 with one of those 1024x600 tft touchscreens made for pi, as they have mounting standoffs on the back, and a 5v buck power supply of my own design (made with quality components)..
I just havent brought myself to spend the cash when I have a laptop that does work.. just less convenient.
I have spent enough time fighting with link on x64 ubuntu to know what needs to be done..

- If you do in fact get around to it please let me know, I'd love hear about it!

There's going to be a product for sale soon by John Freund:
