How loud is an external dump?

damn that sounds nice.
one question though is it loud all the time or is it only loud when you get on it. is is ok for daily driving?

Its loud at any throttle but gets louder the more boost you are pushing. I can ride with the windows down, but have to have the radio cranked to hear it.

Cruising should sound about stock, while boost/WOT sounds like a 84' toyota pick truck without a muffler, then goes into a pornstar banging a monkey kinda sound..

Now it is my understanding that the wastegate will stay closed unless you boost to the point where it would start to open. So the car/exhaust would sound normal until you reach that point, correct?

Also, is it worth the added benefits of running this type of setup? Would it totally eliminate boost creep?

is this mod worth doing. does it get annoying in everday travel? im serously considering this mod
tahnks

Depends on what annoys you. You only hear it under boost, thats it. I myself would find it annoying on a turbo that lets say, hits full spool at about 2500-3K. I think I could deal with it on a turbo that hits full spool at around 4K or higher. I wouldnt wanna hear it EVERY single time I press on the gas a lil bit.

So is an external dump, nothing more then a loud nice maker, at wide open throttle, or does it serve a purpose??
