Unless you get lucky with what they ship you, be ready for some fitament issues. Although some businesses take more care in making them settle correctly, I would email them asking if they guarantee fitament. As you see in the description, (may require modification for perfect fitment) which translates to; if their mold is faulty they will say that you just didnt install it correctly. It may fit perfectly, it may have issues its a chance your going to have to take my friend.

Every body kit I have installed, and my garage installs alot and I am usually there on the front lines, has required modification. Some alot, some just required some mild sanding to make smooth. Some companies send them out without any holes drilled so you are required to drill out your own holes, then sand everything down to smooth things up. And like shadow says, shipment plays a big role in the condition! I've seen like one Wings West kit for a civic show up flawless on the body just from shipment, so all we had to do was drill the holes for installation and sand everything down for a perfect look for the paint.

So if your down, then your down! If you really want to do as less prep work as possible, have someone else do it, or don't do it at all!

Front the idea to the very clean goes with stock body lines OEM 97-99 front with lip kit, to THAT?!? wow.

Good luck, if you do decide to go that route, I am very curious to see how it turns out, post pics.

I too have installed a few body kits in my garage. I've had to lay down my own fiberglass to fix gaps to make it fit perfecty. I fully understand anything and everything that comes with buying, shipping, and installing something like this. What do you think about the design and does anyone else have this or have any other pictures of this front bumper?
-Donny

I think it looks good... But its not anything I would ever allow to be installed on my car... unless I'm being paid to do it. I am with Red on this, I like my 2gb with a lip!

But I'm a firm protester on the subject of "DO WHAT YOU LIKE!" This is your car, so build it how you want, make it yours! I don't let anyone tell me what to put on my car. Only reason I post my ideas up, is just cause I get soo damn antsy I have to talk about it with someone.

Without any sideskirts or rear bumper mods that's going to look really weird as it will sit way lower.

Project2G, do you have more pictures of this kit and do you know this guy? I just picked up a 92 lazer and a 91 gsx (blown motor). I'm going to make my 2G my DD with 300whp and make it look good and turn my 91 gsx into my real DSM.

The burnt orange eclipse belongs to a guy name Danny and the white one belongs to a guy named Joey. I do know both of them and I will try to get a few more pictures of the bumper for you. What side skirts and rear bumper do you plan to go with?

I have no idea.. I think a lot of side skirts and rear bumper body kits look absolutely disgusting. Haha, so something a little more stockish. I'm going to email the seller and see if there's an entire kit for this. Thanks for trying to get a hold of these guys. Are they members?

If you want something clean and simple but aftermarket perhaps you should check out this kit made by Buddy Club :thumb:

I'm not sure if those two guys belong to this site or not.

Looks better than most IMO. But if I had a 2g I would only look at something like that if I seriously needed more airflow to my FMIC, Oil cooler, PS cooler etc. etc. Otherwise stock body FTW.

I bought a body kit once and swore I would never buy one again. They are a pain in the ass. To lazy to read, was it fiberglass? OEM all the way!!

I agree.

Especially eBay body kits. I heard they have resulted in a few deaths from piss poor fitment issues. :tease:

blair, i was always questioning those front bumpers. Only $29.99 and stuff.. how's the quality? It says meets OEM.

Looks good. Im still debating if i should put a body kit on my 2G or not. I've never really liked body kits but I've seen a few that look alright. Another idea I had in mind was to get the 97 bumper and headlights but buy fiberglass fender flares, mold them to the car, lower it a little and buy some fat lipped 18" TSW rims. http://tsw.com/productline_all.php
Anyone have pictures of that done?
-Donny

go stock 2Gb

There is a reason they didnt take any close ups of the bumper with the hood closed -- I bet fitment is terrible. It already looks bad from that far away where it meets the fenders, I cant imagine looking at it up close.

The bumper looks good!! Maybe on a cavalier!! LOL. If it is fiberglass dont waste your time. Go OEM!! Cut out that little piece on your front bumper to make the FMIC opening bigger. I too bought my OEM front bumper from ebay. Mine fit perfect.

^^^ WOW, i never thought that i'd like chrome headlights on a 2g, but i gotta admit, those headlights really set the front of the car off. Good job! I have the exact same ones only w/ the black housings. Did your halo's burn out in like 2 months like mine did?

Yup my halos burnt out about 3 months after I had them. Stuck the headlights in the oven pulled them apart and soldered in a new LED and they are like new again. I made sure the LED was brighter too. I also switched my day lights with my brights so you could see the halo alot better. Sorry old post.
