I can't fuukking believe it.



This is what happened to my all wheel drive swapped Spyder. It was parked in front of my house. The city offered me $6000 totaled.

Does anyone know how to fight this? How can I get more money for my labor and parts? They can't just give me the money for a cheap FWD Eclipse and walk away laughing... can they???

OMFG!!! that sucks dude... first of all say your going to court because you have mental anguish and you would consider settling out of court with your lawyer present. Get atleast 10,000 out of this. YOu gotta be able to get a GSX atleast

How did they manage that one? It looks like your car was drug under the wheel for about 10' based on the pavement and all the white paint all over the tire.

Daaaaaaaammmmmmmm!!!!!! That sucks so bad. Im so sorry dude. If i would have came out and seen my car like that i think i would have went to jail. It would have took every ounce of kindness that would not be left in me to ream the driver a new one. And i would try and fight it. Although it might not do you any good seeing as they already made you an offer. Usaly once you get an offer and try for more you end up with less casue it kinda makes you look greedy, but in this case it well worth more than $6k IMO.

PS. Just noticed the passanger door on the garbage truck, and from the looks of it, it appears you car is not the only thing this guy has hit.

Tell them, it blue books for 7k in FAIR CONDITION... And, then add AWD and the sentimental value...

find a insurance ajuster tha specializes in clasic cars and exotics and have him apraise it. The car loocked awsome (sorry for past tense) Maybe he will be able to give a better estemate when he sees what the car actually is.

I work in the insurance business and we use the red book. It gives you the MSRP and ACV(or average retail value). The average reatil value for your car is $12k. We use this amount as if there were a total loss on your vehicle and thats what would get paid out. So i think you can alot more than $6k.

Very rare car I can't believe you took the time to swap AWD... I don't have the patience for that . That car is amazingly beautiful. Fight it and tell them you want 10k. And keep your car.

fight it and even if you dont get much more at least it will be worth the piece of mind that you did all you could have possibly done. I'd hate to look back and think I didn't try to get as much money as possible

DAMM! That sucks major monkey nuts. How much you get from your insurance will depend on which company and what kind of policy you have, any mods or bolt on parts will NOT be covered unless you document them and submit to the insurer to which they will then tack on to the premium, usually you cannot do that to a standard type policy, you would have to have a special policy from them or you would have to go to a special insurer. Were you seriously offered $6k by the city and not by an insurance company? Usually if you get lowballed you can get your own estimate and turn that in for a counter offer or whatever you want to call it. $6k is BS.

My bad, my head is somewhere else today

Take it to a lawyer, claim it as a custom built car. Let them know there are only about 4-5 in the world built this way.

Theres no way that car isn't totaled... The body is pretty much totaled! The Axle has to be snapped... or atleast bent...

Dude, I would make them pay atleast 10grand for the car, and you get to keep the car! A company damages your vehicle, your covered dude! Trust me on that! Tell them to F Off and your getting a lawyer... I can buy somewhat beaten GST's all day long, hell even some nice GST's for 6grand! But when I get into the AWD Range... I haven't found anything under 9500!

Make that known! They don't have to know it was converted AWD... Just say it was a Rare AWD Spyder! And that they only come in FWD Usually.
