That's the Taboo vacuum diagram. I can just run a catch can there? I don't need to route it back to the intake or anything? I think it looks wrong and if it is it should probably be changed.

Also according to the taboo info I can run the boost gauge off of "P" on the throttle body?

Something looks wrong with that diagram but I cant figure it out.

But, you can use the P port of the throttle body to run your boost gauge. Im not 100% sure if it will show vaccumm though. I heard somewhere that it will only show boost. But it is worth a shot.

With both sides of a catch can plumbed into the VC, it will not function. You have to have a vent to the atmosphere, or into the intake, from the catch can.

So even the way you have it drawn won't work? Or if I vent it, that will work?

Notice that Locke added the "To Atmosphere" in the photo he posted. If you notice in your first photo you posted, the air (aka blow-by) doesn't actually go anywhere from the valve cover. The valve cover needs to vent air out. Your first photo does not indicate that; the valve cover just vents back into itself, which means nothing in terms of relieving the crank case of blow-by.

Either have a hose that recirculates back into the intake pipe (from the valve cover), or have an extra hole/exit port on the catch can so the blow-by can be relieved from the system into the atmosphere. This thread and this thread also have some solid info if you care to read some more. :)

Thanks guys and sorry for the noob question. I read through tons of threads on catch cans and everything but didn't see anything about setting it up like that.

Thanks again,
Steve
