Click here for an overview of the Energy Suspension Hyperflex Kit.
This is one of the easiest installations when it comes to bushings. This is not an exact step by step article, but will assist in parts of the install.
Tools Needed:
Hayne's manual
Basic ratchet set
Hammer
Here are the new Energy Suspension Rear Track Arm Bushings out of the box. They are about the size of fifty cent pieces.
Here are the old stock bushings once removed from the rear track arm.
Part 1:
Follow the steps in the Hayne's manual to remove the rear track arm which is referred to as the "Lateral Rod." Once the rear track arm is removed, knock out the bushings by hand or if needed use a hammer.
Part 2:
Smooth out the bushing hole by using a dremel (optional). Take the new bushings and lube them up using the pre-lube included in the box.
Part 3:
Push the new bushing into the rear track arm and then push in the inner metal sleeve, as seen below.
Part 4:
Installation is reverse of removal. Attach to axle here.
Attach to frame here.
Rear track arm installed.
The new bushing install is complete. Contact me with any questions.
