Hey guys, finally got around to the turbo swap... currently in progress so I'll post up pictures as I go along....
Let me know how i'm going and If there's any suggestions.
Enjoy.

Taking off the T25 was a piece of cake with the right tools and breaker bar... this was necessary... hardest thing was to reach the little bolt holding the oil feed line.

Hehe, not much to say here.... no competition. Thank you quicksol from http://quickwhips.com for the beautiful turbo.

Waterpipe has alot alot grim and **** on it... so a little engine restore should do it.

New OEM, 4 ply copper manifold gasket... don't think I need to port the runners since I'm not porting the head. Turbo end will be ported though.

O2 housing is a different story, have to port the housing end to no other to match the bullseye housing... aswell as my 3" downpipe... must port to match that awell.

Here's the engine shot... waterpipe is clean now... aswell as most of the surrounding stuff.

Let me know how i'm doing.

255 wally, 880 cc injectors, fpr, and ofcourse, dsmlink :)

I too am wondering how much boost/power my stock motor can handle.

Look at my list of parts in my profile. I have a SBR g50 and plan on running around 25-26 psi on stock motor.

If this thread dies send me a pm about how it goes running that much boost on stock motor.

I will post results and any problems in this thread and start a new one. If this thread gets deleted or what ever I will pm you a link to the thread I start. It will probably be the beginning of next month.

Dont try to use a standard install kit, everything is a little different on those turbos...
I installed that same turbo on a friends car, he bought a install kit from Dejon and it did not fit most parts (oild ffed is bigger, hole for the return flange needed to be drilled out on the flange because the holes in the turbo were bigger)

i HIGHLY reccomend using some ultra high temp anti seize and brand new oem turbo bolts when you install that turbo.
bullseye turbines are notorious for seizing turbo bolts, its cause of the steel that the turbines are made from.

and be sure to run a tap through the turbine every time you have that turbo off.

check out any classified ad for a bullseye snail, 9 times out of 10 you will see broken bolts in the flanges.

they are nice turbo's, just take a little precaution in the install. :thumb:
have fun :rocks:

Well the turbo's in and everything... though I'm having insane oil leaks from the feed line end that goes to the turbo housing, the 1/4 flared piece is leaking like no other under pressure....
I went up and down my alley a couple of times none the less, turbo sounds insane maybe it's my new intake, but this thing spools so loud... can't even compare to my T25.
Only ran 9 psi.

Problems I've had so far;
Hacked my oil return line and spliced a hose in, wasn't a problem... just kinda ghetto?
Actuator is hitting the left rad fan... need to figure something out with that.
Oil leaks....BAD!
Broke an exhaust manifold stud... no leaks though, I'll try one of those removal kits when I have time.
Couldn't get anyone to port my Manifold for under 200$ and apparently no one at any hardware store knows what a Carbide burr is, so I'll just end up buying a 7cm one off punishment or ebay or something...

Pictures will be up soon.

Alright, I'll see how the fan will clear.

To my amazement... it doesn't launch as well as the T25 did.... maybe i need to set the rev limiter higher... @ 5000 it kinda bogged.
Its loud, but doesn't have any pull... is the turbo set too low?

## rad cap is 1.3bar? damn that's pretty high especially for the stock plastic rad

Old one was leaking and this one was like 9$ on ebay.:sneaky:

I would imagine 9psi would be a little low. Oh and how did you hook up your mbc? Did you just end up tapping the bov line?

No, that's a big nono.:nono:
I tapped a hole in my IC piping and ran it from that pressure source.

Looks goods. I'll grab a new heatshield.

Ordered a set of 4 new turbo bolts from SBR along with yet another new -4AN x 1/4" NPT fitting... If this doesn't work, some thread sealant is in order...

you need to thread it in further..had the same problem, fixed it..but this year im using a ss line from extremepsi for bullseye turbos.. looks waay cleaner.

a slimline passenger fan will help too.

You did do a boost leak test didnt you?

Yes I did, when I reran my IC piping because there's no 90 degree elbow like there is on the T25.
It held 23 psi nicely... Finally got one of those Biss Caps which solved my TB leak. :thumb:

How much further should I thread it, there's only like 2 threads left to the top.

Nope, no leak, new gasket fits nicely. Though I'll be replacing all the bolts anyways including the missing one when my SBR package gets here.

Alright i see, well thats good then.

I would get the bolts/leaks all squared away before you start worrying about power.

and as far as power goes, 9 PSI is out of the turbos efficency range. once you get a good 20 PSI + tune on that turbo you will be blown away.
