this was when the beast was NA automatic

Awesome man! I loved your car on 2GNT and seeing the before and after pics are really cool.

Thats impressive, nice and sexy.

How long did that take you to finish?

damn very nice. Did you make the manifold yourself? All I remember from seeing pics before is the giant earl fitting, LOL.

The maximum pixel size here is 700x700.
sorry about that. I have owned the motor for about 3 years. I started this car last year, it is the second 2gnt i have owned. My first setup was stock motor with a small t3 and a log mani, I then built the bottem end and upped it to a t3 super 60. the car now stands as you saw in the pics. I am definately not reposting the million pics i posted in 700x700.... Im too lazy for all that. Look up taclipse on 2gnt if you wanna take a look. PEACE!

Looks good. There are a couple thing I must ask:

1) What are you using to tune the car? MSnS? Portfueler?
2) Where was that manifold made?
3) Well, this isn't really a question but oh well. You say it will be a sreet car. If you want it a reliable street car, you may want to opt for the radiator fan. I don't see any. Your car probably will overheat.

Also, I would look into some sort of coating for that manifold, rather then that exhaust wrap. It's been tested and proven to increase vulnerability to the metal becoming corroded, rusted, or contaminated. If it's going to be a 400-500WHP street car, I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND looking into ceramic coating, for reliabilty, cosmetic, and performance reasons.

I am aiming for a 400WHP street car also. Just need to install my MSnS sometime this summer. So these things have run across my mind once or twice. Just my .02...

P.S- I like the turbo intake. Is that a 4" Forced Performance tube?

I know he doesn't log on Tuners much, so let me answer some of those...

1.) I don't know... but I would guess MSnS-E.
2.) He made that manifold himself; fully TIGd.
3.) Not bashin' you Tom; but I think he knows what he's doing. I'm sure if he needed a fan, it would be there.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure he made that intake himself from a 4" U-bend or something.

He has a pusher fan setup on his car. You just can't see them.

And his intake he custom made as well from just some piping bends.

thank you. I have a pusher fan setup. The car IS a street car... I drive it to work everyday. The manifold is actually mig welded and is holding up beautifully! I will be building a top mount manfiold that is tig welded some time with in the next year and upgrading the turbo.

Good luck! I would really like to see some 400+ hp 420a's!

what IC are you using? very nice setup.:thumb: if you are using MSnS did you keep the stock ecu to control iac or did you use Msns to do so? taking out that stock ECU really cleans up the NT engine bay nicely. also is that a thermal RD exhaust?

what IC are you using?

Looks to be an aftermarket Evo IC... I had a setup very similar to that...except I just used a stock Evo IC.

What I'd like to hear and see, is more info and pics on the head? I'm puting a newer stock head on my car cause I bent two valves and I was thinking about downing 1500 and sending off the head to be fully built. I think its SBR or Howel Automotive that does the heads?

Bleh... I wouldn't use either of those guys to build your head. Bad service with either...
