Well I need some help!

Transmission went out (F5MC1) in a 97 manual

What places around here service or will sell rebuild parts?

Any good guys to talk to about solutions?

Symptoms are: the top shift lever (front to back) has no resistance on it and the tranny will not engage any gears? I cant even feel the reverse lockout hump!

Any suggestion as to cause and repair difficulty.

Have an alternate mode of transportation, so repairing this would be an option if you guys think it can be repaired?

Or I could just get a different tranny and pop it in there, any suggestions?

Any experienced veterans care to share some wisdom?

Thanks
