Titanium Exhaust
-------------------------------

Its unfortunate that there are very few titanium exhaust systems for our cars, for example such as Agency Power or Veilside. I would pick one of those up if they were a 3" system in a heartbeat. Too bad that Veilside doesnt make a teardrop exhaust for our car since they primarily focus on japanese models. Does anyone else feel this way ??

also dp to match these exhaust from these companies would be nice also.

I could build an 11 second dsm for the price of that exhaust. If you're that concerned about weight, don't use any exhaust.

There are many exhausts to choose from, im still looking for ones that in totality catch the very essence of what im trying to accomplish with my vehicle.

Also there are many exhausts that are made for the EVO3 that are not made for our cars that I feel would be nice additions to vendor selection if they were available. They would for the most part sound the same since its pretty much the same motor, minus IM, 02 housing, ex. mani and turbo charger.

Titanium was brought up as a factor since some of the new exhausts coming out have a high end model made in them now.

Im not looking to lose a few pounds, or to spend all my earnings on a few bolt ons. Just wanna see if this topic sparks any interest.

Tanabe makes a titanium exhaust system for the 2g... the piping is stainless, just the muffler that's titanium with the burnt tip. It seems to be a high quality cat-back (you could always pair that with their stainless downpipe...) personally I just went to Road///Race and bought a 3" downpipe & 3" Espelir GT500 system for less than the price of the Tanabe cat-back but hey, blue tip-how cool is that? :D

I kind of agree with VanIsleDSM on this one. Idk if i'll be upgrading my stock exhaust anytime soon to anything better (i have an exhaust leak but no budget to upgrade) besides a replacement stock part  . But in essence all i care about in an exhaust is the gain it will have on your car and how it sounds. 5lbs on a 3150lb car is very minute...dont u agree??

If i do upgrade my exhaust i def. dont one one that sounds like a fart can and u can hear me a mile away. i HATE that. evry exhaust i find i try to get a sound clip. I've been looking at the HKS carbon-titanium catback exhaust, i havent been able to get a sound clip of one on a talon or eclipse, but on other cars it sounds real promising.

jus get a apexi!!!

That was my 1st choice, now Thermal also has my attention along with some exhausts that are not made for DSM's :(

Trying to find sound clips of exhausts has also been a pain in the butt LOL. I already looked throught the exhaust note thread...numerous times actually, but most of the links no longer work. I just need to do some more digging since it will be a few months before im ready to make the purchase.

If your looking for a full Ti-exhaust your going to have it custom done. My buddy has a Thermal R&D on his 92 AWD, and it sounds great, a low tone at idle, and it screams at high rpm's. Also you might want to look into a 3" VRS, I would go with the VRS but Im having a custom job done.
PS. And no my custom job isn't because its Ti, but because of some track reasons, and so I can mate all the pieces together perfectly.
