I need help finding out which gear oil to use as my car did not come with manual or anything and I dont feel like asking mitsubishi either ### they are all dumb. I was going to get a full tranny reflush along with reflushing the tranny gear oil with 75w90 mobil one synthetic I was going to flush the tcase and diff, I just need to know what to use for those. Is it ok to use the 75w90 synthetic oil for the tcase and diff fluid? any advice would be much appreciated thanks

When I did my transmission and rear differential, I used Royal Purple,75w90. No complaints, and shifting seemed to have improved a little. It's pretty expensive though; I'm not sure how it compares in price to the others mentioned.

You can't use mobil 1 synthetic in the transmission, it's GL-5 and will accelerate wear significantly

Transmission gets 75-90 or 85-90 GL-4
Transfer case gets 75-90 or 85-90 GL-4
Rear differential gets 80-90 or 85-90 GL-5

The service manual calls for Hypoid gear oil in all 3, it can be difficult to find sometimes. But if the manual reccomends it, that's what I buy.
