I started my car today and I walked around the back of it in my garage and I noticed it sprayed out some oil. Not alot at all, but it was a bunch of small drops that were deffinatly sprayed out of the pipe. What could cause this?

Do you still have a catalatic converter? My car has being spiting oil out the exhaust ever since I removed my cat. (almost a year ago) So I guess I wouldnt be super worried about it(since my car still runs and drives real strong).

Every morning when i go to start my car theres a nice black spray mark behind my exhaust. I'm running a 3" turbo back, so my guess is that since theres no cat then its just blowing excess shit out.

Yup. I imagine a cat would normally catch the oil and/or burn it up so it wouldnt come out the exhaust. I guess I should of said it before but my car is like yours, only sprays out when I first start it up.

Well my talon has a highflow cat and it still shoots black stuff out. I think its moisture and carbon build up in the pipes, not oil. My 86 ford bronco was bone stock and shot out all kinds of nasty stuff.

Yep my money would be on this as well. A by product of combustion is water, it will mix with the extra carbon build up and shoot out black crap. No worries other than running rich.

I have noticed the same thing when I start mine up in the morning. I am on a fresh motor and I do have a 3" turbo back exhaust with a high flow cat. It only does it first thing in the morning on the first start up of the day.

Yeah guys, odds are highly in favor of the moisture and carbon build up. Gotta figure with the way the air in the exhaust heats/cools with a car that was hot shut off that condensation will form and there's tons of carbon w/o a cat, hence the "black spray".
