oil?

seeing how i just got my car..i dont know when the oil was changed so ill just change it now so i can set a schedule...but what kinda oil is best? i was thinking valvoline 10/30 synthetic..? any one have bad experiences with certain brands of oil(ie:low oil pressure,ect)??

I've never had bad experiences. I use royal purple cause mobil 1 likes to make my lifters tick.

I've got Castrol Syntec 10-30w - I've been thinking of changing to Mobil 1 just to try it.

10-w30 right now, but just for whoever is interested, I read someones post about how he tried 20-w50 synthetic and it stopped the lifter tick that he had..... just a thought... ill try it when it is time to change my oil!

That would be because 20-50 is thicker.

I've used Catrol Syntec and Mobil1 5w 30 and even in cold weather its too thin, out of the Mobil1 and Castrol 10w30 I like the Castrol. For some reason my lifter tick is gone when I use it. Although I am know to use whichever of the two happens to be on sale.

I use Amsoil Synthetic (10W-30). Best oil I've ever used. I really liked Royal Purple too. Castrol Syntec was **** for my car (had BAD lifter tick with it). Mobil One was "ok". But by far, I recommend Amsoil.

Mobil 1, 10W-30. Going to try Redline at a later time. I like their gear lubes and Redline actually uses a base stock that handles even higher temps than Mobil. Amsoil is good stuff too--can't really go wrong with either of these three.

i usually use quaker state full synthetic, but mobil one was on sale so i got that in the car now 10w-30
