First off I want to say that I didn't know where to post this at so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong section.I just got my FMIC kit from SBR and it doesn't have any types of instructions or anything on installation and was wondering if anyone here has installed a FMIC from SBR for a 2g.I know you have to cut something but don't know where. Please help me.Thanks.

I don't have a welder so rewelding is not an option for me.is there any pics of this installation? Are there any special tricks of the trade or any thing else I need to make this work.Do I need a different overflow bottle?

I really wish he didn't post that cutting and re-welding was nessacery - It isn't. The problem is that the holes in the brackets don'e always line up perfectly to the holes on the car. If you run into this problem, all you need to do is re-drill new holes or widen the existing holes in the aluminum brackets.

There is no other tricks that I know of. Installation was pretty simple and self-explanatory in my opinion. The upper IC pipe runs through the area where the OE overflow bottle sits. Because of this, you cant put the bottle back where it is now. You either have to re-locate it or purchase a different, more compact overflow bottle.

I have the Dejon Tool setup, and the routing for the intercooler pipes looks identical. I was able to wedge my overflow bottle right behind my 1G BOV. I know it may sound ghetto but it worked for me.

1. Congratulations on your purchase of a Slowboy Racing intercooler kit. Although we try to ensure that pipes and intercoolers are clean and free of debris prior to shipping, we recommend that all pipes are inspected and cleaned prior to installation.

2. Remove all piping and the FMIC core from the box and ensure all parts are included and undamaged. Refer to the part list for reference.

3. Remove your stock intercooler, all lower and upper intercooler piping, and the stock throttle body elbow.

4. Remove the front bumper from the car by removing the 4 14mm bolts under the car.

5. Remove and disregard the factory bumper support.

6. At this point you can hold the FMIC core up to the front of the car and mark where the sheet metal on the left side of the radiator, passenger side of the car will need to be trimmed. This is done best by using a Saws-All or small air saw. You will also need to move the power steering cooler line to the back of the hood latch support (We typically remove this and loop the lines at the reservoir).

7. After the hole on the left side of the radiator is large enough for the end tank pipe to easily fit through, mount the FMIC core to the car using he factory fog light mounting points and bolts. It may be necessary to trim the bottom bracket of the passenger side headlight. You will also need to relocate your coolant overflow bottle. A nice spot is in the opening where your stock SMIC came through the fender.

8. Install the new throttle body elbow using a new gasket if necessary.

9. Install the lower and upper intercooler piping accordingly and tighten using the supplied T-Bolt clamps.

10. Re-install the front bumper cover, trimming as needed. Zip-ties may be used to affix the top of the bumper to the car.

11. Check for boost leaks.

12. Enjoy your new found power with an SBR FMIC!
