That looks really really nice. Where did you get those projectors? I was considering taking a vinyl sticker, pop 2 holes out of em and place it over the stock lights but i'm worried about lighting/visibility issues. I like what you did though, definatley looks different and really good.

I like it, but I think it looks like Johnny number 5 from Short Circuit.

Thanks for the comments!

I got them from a Lexus at the junkyard for 12 dollars. also don't put a vinyl sticker on the stock lights because it will severely reduce your lighting output because your reducing you total reflector area, not to mention it would only put out a narrow focused beam reducing visibility.

Also if anyone is interested in how these are mounted i can take more pics. they are just bolted in using the stock mounting location "basket" and the only thing that had to be modified was a little chunk cut from right behind the light for clearance and access for the bulb in the down position.

Honastly i dont remember the exact model, i was just walking threw the yard and noticed the lights staring at me. next thing i knew i was taking a ball peen hammer to it to extract the goods.

It was a single projector one, because the dual projector ones i extracted from other models are joined together and would have needed major modification to work.

ok well, i'm assuming that the lexus had flip up head lights. Think you can guesstimate a year?

Nice job on the lights. You should take a few more night shots so you can make a nice avatar.

Thats not a problem, it esentially is a bolt in thing. i will do an extensive wright up tomorrow with pictures of mounting and dissasembled parts.:laser:

So where's the write-up? ;)

Could we get all three dimensions on those projectors? It looks like (with minor modifications) you could go doubles, minus the weatherstripping around the outside edge, or with thinner stripping.
Does this maintain pop-up capability? If not, would it be possible if the shinethrough lenses were trimmed to allow the projector lens passage?

Thats an awesome job man,I like those alot and if I still had my 91 I'd be searchin junkyards.

They almost look like they're supposed to be there, clean looking
