I have a 92 Talon AWD Auto and up until now the search button has fixed all my problems. I have replaced the Fuel pump, TCU, Coolant Temp sensor, O2 sensor, MAS, and wired in new connectors for all of the preceding sensors. Turbo and manifold have been replaced due to a seized turbo. The car started and ran really rough before I installed all of the previous parts but now it will not. Nothing has been changed with the ignition system except new spark plugs. I am getting fuel to the injectors and getting spark. The injectors will not fire while cranking. Tested that with a test light. After I release the key from the start postition the injectors will fire once the car will start on that one pulse but will not continue to run and immediately die because the injectors will fire only that one time after letting off the start position. I am unsure of the history of this car because I bought it from an old lady that bought it used.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Kane

Additional info: spark plugs are correctly wired, TPS is working within factory specs, MAS was bought used and has honey combs removed.

Checked Battery voltage during cranking and it was good. Getting 12 volts to one side of the injectors during cranking. Anyone have a clue. This car is driving me nuts.

One of two possibilities.

Check your injectors for 12 volts key on engine off KOEO. If you have 12 volts then hook your test light to the positive post of your battery and have some one to crank the engine over while you are observing the test light. If it is steady on or off (not flickering) it means that you probably lost your injector drive circuit in your pcm. Not all that uncommon. Be sure to check the ohms of your injectors before replacing the pcm. You should have around 2 ohms for turbo and around 15 ohms for non turbo. I'm looking for a possible shorted injector or one with an open. The open won't kill the pcm, but the shorted one can.

Good Luck

KOEO got light
cranking no flickering steady off one flash soon as I let off the key

Injector check and pcm check is on the to do list for tommorrow.

Thanks so much

Sorry for not getting back sooner. I have been working in Florida with my mom for a while. I did some more diagnosis yesterday and discovered I have a BHG or cracked head. Seems like combustion engines don't like to run on water! Who would've known. Thanks anyway for the help and everything electrical is working correctly now.

Thanks Again
