My boost gauge does not read zero with engine off.

How do I calibrate it so that I get proper readings. It used to read zero with the ignition off and now it reads anywhere between 4-6 vacuum depending on its mood. I know I'm still pushing 12psi but the gauge only reads 6-8 boost at full throttle.

It is an autometer carbon fiber ultra lite boost gauge. This is a pick, obviously not of mine, but same one.

Ok, I'm looking around the autometer web site, I sent them a note or whatever that thing where you can ask a question. I guess I will give their service department a call in the morning.

If my post before this shows up, ignore it. I was thinking of something else! I tried to delete/edit it.

Yeah I would contact autometer on this. They were real generous, when I had to get a replacement for an EGT probe.

I dont know how technical you are, but you are here so if your a cheap bastard like me and you dont want to wait for turn around I did a write up that I've never posted on repairing a boost gauge. I can send it to you when I get home from work. I've done it to two gauges and they work perfectly.

For the non-believers I had an avionics guy teach me how to recalibrate the gauges.
