Whats up everyone? This is my very first post so please be kind. Earlier tonite I was getting ready to do a log on my car when I noticed my fuel trims were all out of whack. So, I pulled over at a gas station and opened my hood to check for any signs of loose connectors or intercooler piping that wasnt connected properly. I went to check my fuel pressure and FUEL WAS SHOOTING OUT THE TOP OF MY FPR INTO THE VACUMM LINE THAT GOES INTO MY INTAKE MANIFOLD WTF !!! This was obviously the cause of my problem. Does anyone have any explanation for this or have any idea of how to fix it. I figure I have two options.

1. Replace the hollowed out bolt with the nipple used to adjust fuel pressure with a solid bolt. I have no idea if this will actually work since you probably need the vacumm line to run to the fpr but its an idea.
2.Replace the fpr with a new unit

Im in desperate need of help since my car is still stuck at the gas station. Thanx!

Thanx for the imput. Do you think it would be safe to use a solid bolt to plug the hole so I can drive it home. The gas station is about 6 miles from my house.

If the gas station isn't far from home, this will work along with the proper size o-ring to ensure sealing. Fuel leak is a serious business so make sure it's not leaking still before you start your trip. However, make sure the car stays on your driveway until the afpr is replaced, be careful.

:thumb: Thank you oldman and old mitsu tech. I called weapon r and they said I can exchange the faulty one with one from a local parts store free of charge. I'm still going to have to try the bolt thing tonite so I can get my car home and put it on. Later.

well, I tried putting a solid bolt through the top of the fpr and it did work but I highly recommend not doing it. When the car was on my fuel pressure gauge spike out. It rapped back around to 0 (120+ psi)! Well anyway I got my new fpr in and it works great. I just wanted to tell anyone that reads this thread in the future and thinks what I did is a good temporary fix, ITS NOT!!!! You can easily blow out fuel lines.

so your new fpr was it another weapon r ### i just bought one and now am just hearing that it is crap any good luck with the new one??

BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!!!!

Seriously though, Fuel Lab and Aeromotive are great. If you want aftermarket, dont go with anything less :) Also, when searching, its probably better not to revive 5 year old threads :) There are plenty of "What RRFPR to buy" threads out there...the site has a ton of info, both good and bad. Sift through some of it, and you'll end up with a crap ton of knowledge on these cars. Good luck!
