I know there are a million threads about using jackstands and where to put them, but I am the kind of person who learns better from seeing then from reading or hearing..So, can somebody please SHOW me some pics where they place their floor jack and jackstands....I had my car up on them but now I am not so sure I put them in the right place..I have some pics but I can't load them on right away so..

Does anyone have any advice or pics to donate??... It would suck to have the Talon fall on my face!! The owner's manual and Chilton's manual don't provide good enough pictures..I have to fix my oil leak so I have to get it up off the ground

There is a long crossmember that runs right-left just aft of the radiator. Jack in the middle of this piece and secure jackstands on either side of the jack. Do not jack on the gusset or crossmember that goes front to back.

When jacking up the rear, I put a block of wood under the rear diff (if so equipped) and place jackstands on each side of the rear subframe :dsm:

Good to know..

Better than the idiot who owned my car before me - thanks to that fool I had a dented oil pan and floor pan on both the driver and passenger footwells. New oil pan & pickup when I did the balance shaft elim kit and about an hour and a half with a 25lb hammer fixed the footwells.

Well, I guess I put the Jack in the right spot, but after seeing some pics of random 2G's on Jackstands..I am not so sure I did it right...Are 1G's different, where do you put the jackstands?? Pics would be best

Can someone else give some advice...I want to get the car up before I take it to AMS on wednesday next week
Look.. I've owned the same car you have for 15years and have told you specifically how to jack the car up place jackstands. Seriously, if you are still confused, maybe you should not be working on your own car :toobad:

yeah I realize the spot you speak of but I was wondering if anyone had any pictures...thanks your help is appreciated, but don't start flaming at me for asking a question that I don't happen to be familiar with..I really don't want to screw the car up, so if you don't respond with pics or advice then don't respond at all...I know how to work on the car and I am very knowledged with the 4G63, I just am not so familiar with jacking them up and putting the jackstands on the right place...don't tell me if I should or Should not work on the car, you don't even know me..Pics please, if not, don't flame just press back and flame someone else's thread

Well, these were taken before I saw these pics...it was like 2 weeks ago, did I put anything in the right spot..It doesn't seem to be in the right place...BTW: my car held fine:
Maybe theyre too big of pics, I hope not:

Looks like you put the jack in the right spot and not the jackstands. Personally, I pu the stands under where the a-arm bolt up to the car, it allows the jackstands to straddle them and keep the stands from slipping.
