This is with the AFC around -15 across the board.
This was a 2nd gear pull if it matters, 18-19 psi. 264/272, 550cc, supra pump rewired, small 16g.

So what do you all think? The car feels pansy and really rich. Where should I go from here?

Did this on the way to work before reading your responses (logged o2 this time, forgot before).

I have pretty bad knock counts on non WOT logs. Hits 43 sometimes, then back to normal counts. Doesn't seem to effect the WOT though...weird that this log has no problems around 4300 rpm. It was about 15 degrees cooler this morning though, so.

What o2 am I shooting for? The car seems rich.

Thanks again everybody.

And this is 2nd gear again, sorry I don't have anywhere around here to really open it up :notgood:

Need to get to a track!

on 1g's somewhere around .90v - .92v. add more fuel. The reasion why I asked you to log only rpm, knock, o2, timing is becasue of the cycle rates on most loggers. The less you log, the more times p/sec it will log.

I'll do that, I got those last logs before I made it in to see the replies to my post. Everything else looks ok though right? (need to add some fuel at 6500 or so)

...and get the AFPR ;)

With a 1g you don't even have to log O2 voltage. It is worthless. Also, now that we know that you're not hitting 100% IDC you don't have to log that either. I would just log timing, knock and rpm. On a 2g it is sometimes helpful to log O2 voltage, but on a 1g you want to tune for no knock, period! :thumb:

Just add some fuel above 6k and take her out for another pull. If the temperature outside warms back up, you may see some of your mid rpm knock come back.

Anyone know why airflow is maxed out at 4k? Is there something about the 1g MAS I don't know?

You shouldn't reach maximum airflow until around 6k.

Finally got the AFPR on and set to 37 psi with the vacuum line off (right?). Haven't got a chance to get to WOT tuning yet, as I'm running into some problems with the fuel trims. My AFC is PLUS 15 for 1k rpm to keep the LFT around 100%. Um, the injectors are 18% larger than before but I'm adding an additional 15% more fuel? I'll admit I had it at -10 and it was dying pulling out of the driveway. Put it up to +5 to get moving and got the logger on, 139% LFT, whoa, get adding the fuel! Didn't settle down to 100% until +15.

Are you 100% positive that all of your injector harness connectors are seated fully and clipped in?

It's a DSM, I'm not 100% all 4 wheels will stay on when I pull out of the parking lot! :p

I'll be sure to check that, but I do know that when I changed plugs a couple weeks ago, they all looked pretty identical, so it would appear as though they are getting the same fuel/air amounts.

Take a look at the front O2 sensor voltage at idle. Is it cycling between 0.20v and 0.80v (or in that range). It should be bouncing around....back and forth, back and forth, etc.

At your current SAFC-II settings, what does your mid and hi fuel trim read???

O2 is cycling in a normal fashion, and is only like 2 years old.

I've driven around for a couple hours now, with the AFC at:

low20/high80

low:
1k +10
2k +5
3k +3
4k +2
5-8k +1

high -10 across the board (not using WOT at all)

LFT-125%
MFT-around 105%
HFT-around 107%

The weird thing is the LFT changes a decent bit still. It doesn't settle on 125, it goes a little above, a little below, as long as the RPMs are changing. If you sit still it will settle down on 125 and stay put.

I was thinking of turning up the base pressure.

Ideas from this info?

Funky!

From looking around, 1g base FP should be 39psi with the vacuum line disconnected. So I would change that.

Your FT's will change based on RPM, so what you are experiencing is normal.

I normally don't post hearsay information but this is from an extremely reliable source. So I might get in trouble, but here it goes.....

"Many things affect trims besides your AF settings. PCV valve, VC vents, MAS issues, intake leaks, etc."

He did not expand on that comment, but it is something to explore.

On a side note, my low throttle settings are around -10% for 650cc injectors, which is not normal, but my FT's are balls on. My hi's are right around -30%, which is where they should be.

Couple of things to try:

1. Increase base FP to stock value of 39psi
2. Replace the PCV valve (as they are only a couple of dollars)
3. Do a leak test

Sorry I can't be more help, but this is a weird on. :coy:
