I just inherited a garret turbo and the elbow bends to the passenger side, now my problem is that my fmic is a side to side garret core so am I looking at loosing performance by running the piping like the image below(A) or is that going to be just another setup of long route, which wont substantially hurt my performance??

Well.. As I see it, you are going to pass the air threw a lot more pipe before reaching the intake and that pipes going pass back by the engine, turbo etc. If you don’t wrap the pipes, the engines going to re-heat the air as it passes threw the pipe by the turbo/engine/exhaust down pipe.

A lot of people use those turbo's, you can cut or weld to modify the outlet on the turbo so it faces the right direction for the standard FMIC hookup.

If you search, I'm sure you will find some info on this.

Or if you can't weld or know of someone that can you can also cut it off and replace with a 90 degree silicon hose.

Thanks for all the help and other ideas. Now I just have to take the turbo back out and I didnt want to do that again  But I'm pretty sure thats the only way this is going to work, to cut off the elbow and have someone tig weld it back the other way. Now I do have a freind who can tig weld like its cool so I'm going to do that. Now anyone know how the hell I can mount my new fmic??What kind of brackets and such do I need and where can I get them?????

Yeah thats what i ment in my post above.

I think FP sells an outlet pipe just for this. Its basicly a pipe and silicone connector.

Finally decided a better way than taking the turbo back out, I finally got around to putting the 97 bumper on there with the 97 oem lights ($free.99) and decided that this is the piping route im going to take. Inputs are welcome.....
