Well my whole motor build up made it into HCI across 11 pages. The tranny build up will come in an issue later on.

Thanks goes out to Wiseco for pistons, Comp Cams for the 101200's and Competition Clutch for the Stage 3 Clutch and Flywheel and Marco at Magnus for the trans work and of course the shop I used to work at (still kinda do) ETDRacing.com and John for letting me use the shop to do the swap!

Quick snap shot on what happened:

1)Motor had no problems but was leaking at the head gasket a bit so decided it was motor time.
2)Bought a JDM motor and tore it all appart kept only the bottom end
3)Rebuilt the bottom end with Pistons, Rods and no BS.
4)Put back on 2g head with all old accessories (turbo, intake mani etc.)
5)Magnus built trans with Shep 4 spyder center diff
6)Tossed it all in the car with pics

It looks more like motor building for dummies. you car is sweet and congrats on getting into a magazine. well hope your luck with the dsm continues and thanks for the advise that you give from day to day...it is always helpful. :rocks:

thats sick, how long did it actually take for tehm to put this writeup int eh magazine from the time that you build your motor with them taking pics and shit for it?

Nice job Jim. I went to Walmart yesterday and was browsing through them and came across it. I bet the new owner is going to be happy to see the car in the magazine. Excellent work and a very beautiful car.

wow that's cool man!!! Glad that one of the member on here made it on HCI. Congrats Jim!!! :thumb: :thumb: so do you miss your car?

I've never been into the HCI magazine, but I picked it up just because I saw that article. I was going to post up an article about it on here because I thought it had some really good info. That's crazy that it's a DSMtuners car. Really nice car, BTW. Your an inspiration to us all and your legacy will live on on my bathroom floor for many bowel movements to come :thumb: .
