Just thought you guys might like to know what I got yesterday on the dyno untuned on an INTERNALLY gated v-trim on my 1g. Completely stock 6bolt, stock 90 camshafts, blah blah (mods in profile). 24psi on about 95 octane. After doing the pull, we found out that I was BELOW a 10:1 rich-ass fuel ratio. Best pull for me was the first pull

343.5whp
314.9wtq
<10:1 afr

I'm sure if I had more time on they dyno to tune, I could have squeezed a 350-360whp pull. When I started leaning the car out, my torque numbers started to climb. At 11.5:1, it went up from 314 to 317.2tq. I'll scan the dyno sheets tonight and post them up tomorrow for you to view. I can see with my planned 272/272 camshafts, reaching the quoted 400whp from David's site is pretty much dead on. A great addition to all the turbos out there for the price. I'll be dynoing again soon with a SBR manifold to see if I can gain any earlier spool over the Logic Performance manifold I have now. And then lastly, another dyno pull with the HK$ 272/272 setup.

you win the shittiest looking AFR ever :thumb:

Get back on the dyno and lean that sucker out and i bet you can easily get another 10-20whp out of it. Was this on a awd dyno or fwd by the way?

soo where are all the haters that said the t04b vtrim would be a SUCKY turbo?

LOL...mine is doin great so far as well

Seems like we're puttin down close to the same numbers as those huge t04s and 3052(at the boost levels we are at, granted, those others can go efficiently to 30psi, but most of us dont have built engines)

Great turbo for the price.

I put down 300whp a long time ago, on 19psi, through a cat and stock airbox on 91 octane

Im now at 22psi, meth injection, no cat, and 3" dejon pipe, im looking for 350whp on pump gas, and the MULTIPLE kills that i get on the streets is making that figure very realistic

Im also getting some comp 101100 cams, you should too, it should help a bunch on the topend

I just wish i had AWD to hold all the power

Nice :thumb: I've limited knowledge when it comes to degreeing cams, so I have to spend the extra money that comps would have normally costed me, and instead opt for the pricey HK$. Hope to see more numbers coming from you and everyone else with the v-trim. 400whp+ or bust.

instlled straight up, the comp 101100 made more power than the hks 264s

i dont think the comps need degreeing

I was being nice i didnt want to rip on him. But since you bring the subject up. I made 338AWHP on my small 16g at 25psi with a mix of 110 and 93. Im sure if i would have dynoed fwd mode it would have been closer to 350, But there i go bench dyno racing. So what do you have to say for his dyno numbers now on your great v-trim turbo? His numbers are good and i wouldnt be disapointed, but dont be a m ass and bring up shit in his post.

Anyway, the comp 100's are great cams. I gained ~35awhp with them on race gas and 15awhp on pump gas. went from 302.6awhp to 338awhp on race and 289awhp to 303awhp on pump with the small 16g installed straight up by the way no degreeing.

Keep up the good work and let us know what happens when you get that leaned out a bit.

Definetly respectable for a tiny 16g and cams :thumb: That just goes to show what proper tuning and cams can do. I can't wait to get setup on some cams so I too have bragging rights, thats why I just kept quiet for now. Still, 343whp untuned in fwd mode and a completely stock 6bolt long block imo is impressive for a turbo that was talked down alot. After all the downtalk, I really wasn't expecting this turbo to handle any better then my old e16g setup. I'm happy that wasn't the case. I guess I should do some research, then, on the comp cams, especially if it'll save me money. Thanks.

i cant wait to dyno my v-trim setup once i get a front mount or water injection, what kind of boost would you guys shoot to tune this turbo at on a completely stock 7 bolt? 20psi? thanks in advance

call me crazy, but i seem to be able to run 22psi on my 7bolt, 91 octane, with 80meth/20water injection, and no knock above 2*

Maybe im pushing it but the car runs pretty damn good on it, the tune is fairly safe, high 10.8-11.2a/f and -1 to -2 on the timing across the board(dsmlink) injecting 380cc of meth/water

Im going to a bigger injection nozzle and hopefully be able to run full timing, 22-23psi

u gotta keep in mind, for every 335whp dyno of a small 16g, there are 10 240whp dynoes of that same 16g

so far, most of the vtrims have had NO problems hitting 300whp+ on pump gas, without going to gasket blowing boost levels

I would call that a success. I wish i got the h3 wheel now, but oh well

I plan to make 350whp with cams on pump gas, 400whp on race gas and about 24-25psi

dude, looking at my new dynoes with the meth/water injection at 23-24psi, they are identical, LOL, but im coming up the torque slightly earlier

i made 344.1whp, LOL....not too shaby, i was happy

Hey a question for you, what boost controller are you using? I have my profec b pretty much maxed out and it doesnt like it, cause the boost hella fluctuates and bounces around, spikes to like 25psi, comes down to 21, and then starts fluttering around 21-24psi...weird

maybe i should change some of the settings on the back of it....but i cant seeem to get steady boost that high

Its great though, i walked a ws6 and modded SS today

Just curious, but how man lbs/min are you guys seeing?

i recorded about 38-39lb through a stock maf

I think now is the time for cams and a bigger fmic, mine is a 25x7x2.8

i may go to a 3.5" thick one, as i dont want to go any higher

I have the vtrim and even though I havent takin it to a dyno yet, I have beat a 314 whp mustang on a shitty night with pump gas, low timing and the dejon tool ghetto pipe with a reducer to fit my t04b. When I get an intake pipe and dsmlink, I am aiming for 350 whp on pump

I think the V-trim is a good turbo...

mine was a full to4 with a .58 a/r turbine housing. and P-trim wheel

I got 20 psi of boost at 3,800 rpms. and recorded 42-43 lbs/min air flow at 22psi with dsm link . with stock cams.

I really wish I had a chance to dyno it but it died.. now my car is powered by a 14beast.

Got back from the Dyno with my Comp 101200's in!!!!!

402.9whp
353.0wtq

I'll post up the video and chart after I scan them in. Was knocking 22 counts due to excess timing, so I need to tune it a bit more. Details in a few. Dave, does this qualify for the turbo challenge???
