LICP silencer removal??

i was reading about the LICP silencer removal, and when i had a chance to mess with my car today(clean exhaust, put some gauges in), i looked at the silencer. my q is if the black box is the silencer? and what size pipe i should use to bridge the gap between the 2 ic pipes?

but is it the whole entire black box, I'm sure the factory ic piping is 2.5 inch right?

I scrapped mine and the lower intercooler piping isn't 2.5".

That even seems a bit big for stock, I can't remember the actual size. Sorry.

I measured it, since you're too lazy to do it. It's 2.25" O.D..

Is this only for 1g's cause i got my 95 stock and there was no silencer on the licp.

Only 95-96 had them really. Not even all of them I don't think..
