I just overhauled mi car with JE 9.0 Forged Pistons and now that i'm reaching the 1000 miles(the engine it's now "settle"/ has been break in)...it began to make a "ticking noise"just like diesel engine..first we tought that it was de lifters(which i've never change), but i have a friend that have the same pistons and he has the same noise and change the lifters and it keep on sounding, and the shop that sell him the pistons said it was anormal sound on forged pistons.
Has anybody have this same problem?Help, I don't want to waste money on something that it's not damage.

Normal on JE's

They beat themselves to death on a street driven engine...

Wisecos do it the least.. They have offset pin bores like the factory pistons..

JE just designed the piston skirt to crown OD dimensions all wrong and did'nt offset the pin so slap, slap, slap..

JE makes a good piston for the honda vtec engines. I would go with Ross pistons and wiseco connecting rods, knife edged crankshaft secured with ARP bolts.

Wiseco makes connecting rods?

Get wiseco pistons and ross connecting rods

On a more serious note the best setup for the money is wiseco pistons on eagle or scat rods.
