I have a EVO3 turbo on my 2g gs-t and have these mods on it so far Injen Intake,Greddy type-s bov greddy turbo timer,Apexis N1 exh, walbro 255 fuel pump now the Question is I want to make 350hp what other mods would you guys say I need to make 350hp?

Finish exhaust, injectors, fuel management, lots of tuning, even more luck.

Don't forget a Nice FMIC.

More then 1 EVOIII turbo has recorded over 40 lbs/min for airflow. Rough guidelines are for 10 lbs/min=100 horsepower (crank)

Rough guidelines, of course. YMMV, etc.

Boost is always key, so you'll have to be able to crank it up to at least 25 lb's. That, of course takes good fuel, air, spark and charge air cooling. Also, thats where you will start to break things.

25psi on an evo3? Tell me what kind of crack you're feeding yours and I'll feed it to my 20g.

Ahh, unfortunately, its just a bad case of internet regurgitation going on with that 25 psi comment.

No first hand experience. But, at least 1 member on this board went below 12 sec. @ 25 psi plus a spike. Also have a local club member that ran his fastest time after cranking it up to around that number.

Ive seen and read enough to believe that turbo is still reasonable at that boost level. As for lifespan at that level consistently, I'll have to test it out

Also, that 10lbs/min calc I now believe is a little high. I ran across this calculation, and believe it to be more accurate:

HP X 1.62 = airflow in CFM, HP divided by 8.07 = airflow in lbs./min

Rough calculation, YMMV, etc, as always.

As far as feeding crack to MY turbo, why yes, my little 14b does like meth actually!

That should be enough for 350crank easy!! very easy.

Keep in mind my 16g laid down 338awhp thats over 400crank. The evo is a more potent monster than the small 16g. Its all in tunning and on pump gas i wouldnt run more than 20psi.

And as mentioned above, High boost=Racegas

A FMIC is not needed but would ease things up a bit. Your list does point out that tuning is essential, this is true. He didn't say at the crank and I'm under the assumption he is talking wheel horsepower.

Now 350 at the wheels on a 2nd gen gst?

I'll tell you what I think will do it fairly easy:

ported manifold, ported o2 housing
full 3 inch exhaust
some kind of aftermarket air filter
fmic
some kind of cams
some kind of clutch
550s or bigger injectors
some kind of fuel pump
some kind of fuel management, safc, dsmlink, etc
c16 and tuning

And of course all the little thing, boost gauge, 1g or aftermarket bov, mbc...you know what I mean.

Now why do I think that list will do it? Because I had basically that same exact list when I dynoed 320 to the wheels flowing 35 lbs/min except I was on the stock cams and a dejon sidemount. Air fuel was 11.9 across the board.

Had I put in a set of cams and gained 3-4 lbs/min or so and used a nice large fmic I would have hit the mark easily.

K well I boost 22psi on the street with stock internals, tuning weekly.. You'd run higher?

Umm whats the point of running 20 plus psi on the street? I only run 17psi on sunoco high octane.

On race gas I boosted up to 23 psi ,but then my clutch started to give way .

On an evo turbo you could easily make that amount of power by just addressing the bolt ons. If you were to take care of all the the fuel and means of controling it then you could start to tinker with the exhaust. Then the intake track.


I really dont see why It would be difficult but then again I almost fully changed as many of the bolt ons as possible. I have yet not dynoed the car because I never saw a need too. This spring I will have to dyno it to see where im at and what can be improved in the way the power comes on.

Keep in mind if you'r only going to daily drive it, dont bother spending any money on you'r car because it would be a waste.

Performance parts are as addicting as tattoos but alot more expensive.

Ok i dont see high boost on anysidemount make it down the track without some kind of IC sprayer. Sorry my supra sidemount with heatsoak very fast at 20psi+ and if you are going for that amount of HP might as well do it right and get a FMIC.

With race gas and proper tuning you're fine. 6-bolts are good for 450+ hp.

I should also add this is my weekend warrior and runs 100 octane on the street

More information required! Are you looking for 350 crank or wheel HP?

350 crank HP isn't hard on an EVO16g with the right supporting mods. 350 wheel HP will require quite a few more parts and excellent tuning or race gas.

UUHHHH, look at my time. Evo III @ 26psi, bone stock 7 bolt, suspension, drivetrain (other than act 2600). I would hope I am close to 350 WHP to be running high 11's. Don't be sarcastic just because you can't get that out of your 20G.
