2G's... post your pocketlogger logs. It'll be interesting to compare people's setups, logs, and tuning styles. Mention how your car was tuned.

People who have been dyno tuned with a wideband professionally, I'd be really interested in seeing a log.

I'll start by posting one of mine. I'm still in the process of tuning it.

My setup:
ETE32 50-trim turbo @15 psi (working towards tuning @ 20psi soon)
RC550's
Fuel pump
Aeromotive FPR
3" apexi turbo-back, no cat
Apexi FMIC w/ piping
Centerforce DFC
Stock 7bolt
SAFC, AVC-R
new BPR7ES gapped at .030 in, with new magnecor wires.
new OEM o2 sensor.

Here's one of my last Pocketlogger logs ever. DSMLink V2 is already in the car. :thumb:

GT30r
650cc
FMIC
boost ~19psi
Airflow #'s confuse the crap out of me.
Innovate LM-1, I was at 10.8:1 I believe in this log, definitely more room to lean it out and get timing to look better.

Just need a power cord for my laptop and I will start tuning with DSMLink, can't wait.

Mostly stock ;) look about right to you guys?

I was just wondering what loggers yall use on obd2. Which do yall think is better the one from digitaltunining.com or the Palm n stein logger. thanks

With my auto is the timing suppost to drop to the neg. when it shifts? Just wondering if that all looks normal.

i cant get it to run on my CPU, everytime i get to the screen wit the corvette standing up i try to file open but it always says "ERROR: No input filters registerd" i cant figure it out and for somereason i cant get to the pocketlogger forums. n e one else have that problem?

Palm's'tein, works great;

This is with big t-28, 550's, 190 pump, intake, exhaust, FMIC at 16lbs.

Added a little at 6500/6600 due to the timing pull and took a little out at 42K through 55K.

Ya, I got that problem once. The reason it said that for me was because I was running it off a network hard drive. As soon as I coped the program and its contents to my desktop, it worked. Not sure if that helped or not...

Here's my log @ 20psi w/ 94 octane so far...Still working on the tuning. I'm confused to why my overal timing is much lower than before. Instead of my timing "low spot" being around 13 deg, it's around 9-10 deg now. I even tried to make it a little richer in that rpm range, and its about the same. Is this normal? Seems like I could get my car running better at 15psi...

My sheet is just bout the same as yours. Except I get 1.04v with 16 degrees of timing. I thought you could only retard the timing, but adding more fuel(that would just raise my 02 voltafe more than it already is)? Do I have that backwards or something?

taking away fuel will retard the timing, and lean it out a bit, that way your o2's will come down

if you are trying to use the plviewer and it gives you that error it is because you have not extracted the files from the zip folder onto your computer, extract all the files and it will work fine.

how can i move logs from palm to CPU with that software ? I use that also

Ok quick question one thing i have noticed in these logs is that people seem to be running .98v for o2's i thought the norm was to tune the o2's to be around .92 to .94? Anyway heres my log done with the tmo chip. I still can't figure out the timing issue. Any ideas as to why am getting only 14 degrees of timing?

to move the files from the palm to the cpu you have to hotsync your palm. whenever you hotsync it automatically moves that log onto your computer into a folder. it should be in the folder c:/program files/palm/[your usernamer]/backup the filename should end in obd2 for 2nd gen cars and gfms for 1st gen cars.

From the playback I go frame by frame and type it it a spread sheet. Call me old fashioned, cheap... I have not tried any hot sync stuff.

Tunning off of O2 voltage is a basic no no. The outputs from car to car vary as well as accuracy compared to a wideband. O2's in general will get you in the ballpark but as far as tunning you need to basically ignore them if you want to tune by timing.

When I tune my 96 GST or my friends 98GSX i find that after tuning by timing that my O2's are generally up around .94 to .98. THis seems to be the general case ...again it varies from car to car...among 2g owners.

What you need to do is make a run at your current settings. Log the timing vs rpm and note how the timing is reacting. You want timing to slowly increase over time with no flat spots or declines. Flat means you are getting a few counts of knock but not so much that it needs to retard timing...if the timing is dropping then you are running (more then likely) to lean.

The thing to remember is that if you see your timing flatline or drop at say 6000rpm then you may need to make changes at the 5000rpm mark. Add fuel back into the mixture a couple percent at a time at and just before the rpm that shows your timing going away.

The trick is to ignore the O2's. If you do that and tune for timing then go back and look you'll probably see that you too will be tuned at around .96

I'd say in your case you need to richen things across the board by a couple percent.

I have some of my tuning runs as well as my friends

** edit **
forgot I couldn't post a link to my website

goto my profile if you wish to see my page that contains some logs in high res format that show what I'm talking about

if your logs were not in that folder than try restarting your computer and then doing a hotsync, sometimes mine dont load either until i have restarted my computer.
