ok dont get mad at me if this gets asked a lot but i just purchased an autometer boost gauge and im trying to install it. where do i put the the wires, because one has to goto the ground and one has to goto the power but im not sure wich is which. I have a 1g talon tsi

Autometers only have two, power (white) and ground (black). Hook up the power to the dimmer switch.

Get a pack of those vampire taps. Hook the power wire up to the illumination wire on your radio harness (the green wire on the harness I think, don't quote me on it) and screw the ground wire somewhere down on the radio chasis. That way, you can have the gauge light up the same time your dash lights turn on.

Vfaq should have a wiring diagram for the 1G radio :talon:

No need to run the wire all the way to the radio. Just go to the dimmer switch on the left side of the dash.

Which wire on the dimmer switch plug is the dimmer wire? There is a green white stripe, a black and a black with yellow stripe?
